That's bad luck with the food poisoning, but at least you got a workout in lifting decent weights. How's training been going generally recently? 6 weeks and a half to go!

Hey Bill, I have not been setting the world on fire but have been progressing slowly. I realize that my expectations for Mongolia should be have fun with it and and enjoy the experience. I am looking forward to meeting you. How's your training going sir ?

@@fitman046e Hey Steven I can identify with that. Training as hard as I can in the circumstances, but I accept I may not lift as much as I'd like to. Seem to be spending a lot of time at the physio this summer🙄

@@billwestwater3098 Recently Bill I have simplified my mind set. Whatever I lift is whatever I lift in Mongolia. In the Grand scheme of things what we lift really doesn't matter. The old saying is that you can't take it with you no matter how many medals or trophies we attain. What does it profit a man to gain the whole World and lose his soul is what the good book says. Whatever I do ,I attempt to be a good testimony to the one I serve.

@@fitman046e yes, I think this is the right mindset to have. Having said that, I think you have a definite chance of a medal on bench

@@billwestwater3098 Since I started powerlifting a couple years ago the bench is the only movement I haven't had to endure an injury. Seems like you have a very competitive deadlift and could medal there. When are you arriving in Mongolia ? I'm planning on getting there early morning October 5th, so my body will have a few days to adjust to the time change.

Food poisoning is extremely draining. Kudos for putting in the effort in the gym.

Thank you for the comment. I just didn't want to feel like I was making excuses for struggling.
