Thank you for watching,I was very surprised about how Japanese people celebrate valentine's day which is different from Malawi 🇲🇼🇯🇵,am glad to learn new experiences
Hi,Jenny! As a Japanese I think Japanese way and concept of Valentine’s Day has changed a lot compared with my childhood. When this custom had just came to Japan Valentine’s Day was the special day between only lovers. It was the day when the girl confess the love to the boy whom she really loves. I remember the day I first gave chocolate to the boy at the school. I remember that chocolate as well. We never bought and gave many chocolates. When my daughter was a jr high student I was shocked to know that chocolates was exchanged even among the girls. Today the concept has completely changed by some commercial strategy of the chocolate maker. Everyone buys many chocolates and gives them to many people now. Now that this the way of expressing thanks 💕✨
Jenny, your hair accessory suits you so well and looks adorable 😍 I learned a lot about Valentine's culture in Malawi this time. Every time I get information from you about Malawi, I become interested in visiting the African continent. I admire Jenny's creativity in practicing Japanese Valentine's customs. The reactions of the men who received chocolates are also cute ❣️ Jennyさんの髪飾りがとてもお似合いで可愛いです。
❣️You did an excellent job sharing your experience. In the USA we celebrate Valentine's Day similar to your Malawin tradition. Happy Valentine's Day. It nice to see you talk to your viewers and express your thoughts and feelings. You are experiencing many things. That's nice that you are learning the Japanese language and Koja san speaks a little bit of your homeland language. Give everyone a hug 🫂 from us. 🍫

When I heard about this, I was also shocked. As I have never had any Valentines gifts, before my hubby, and upon finding out and that his birthday is actually on White Day, we swapped. He treats me on Valentines day and I treat him on his birthday. So basically the English/western way. The other thing I was shocked at was the bathing of kids situation. I never allowed my daughter to❤ be bathed by Jiji but allowed my son after he was five as he can talk by then. Hubby felt awkward bathing our daughter after she was a year. 😂😂😅😅 Good luck in learning other cultural things which I embraced wholeheartedly. P.S. We have been together for twenty-nine years and still going strong.
Companies decided they wanted people to use more money for Valenties Day in Japan. Honestly, it sometimes gets stressful as people feel like they could offened others who do not get chocolate and it is expensive to buy so many chocolates for people. So Jenny, I admire how respectful you are to Japanese culture. However, no pressure to give chocolates to everyone. I also hope you got to have a date with Koga san as that is your culture 😊
Jenny I think you did a wonderful job! I love your video's on Jennyk and Jenny in Japan!! My husband is Japanese and he gives me flowers and chocolate on Valentines day. Everyone is unique in their own way.
私はいつも「無印」のバレンタインチョコレートキットを使ってバレンタインチョコを娘と一緒に作っています✨ あげる人は主人、父、娘のお友達です❤ I always make Valentine's chocolate with my daughter using Mujirushi Valentine's Chocolate Kit✨ Those who give are friends of my daughter, my husband, and my father❤
