I like the use of the right hand to start, great video

Thanks for watching! It does help a lot using our right hand, seems difficult using the left especially if it's not your dominant side!

J.A.R. Giiiirls! With any blower, If you can get use to it, it's better to use the waist strap. It keeps the weight of the machine on your hips and off of your shoulders. You'll fatigue less. We used to do that in work with our Scott Air Paks. Good luck! Good video!

Absolutely! We were talking about how it's very similar to those air packs, we used them a few times when we were jr firefighters and the straps are really awesome! Love how this blower is really comfortable and distributes the weight. 👍🏻

Really appreciate all the info on the side start. That’s been a major selling point for me with this machine and I feel like you gave a much more nuanced view on that particular feature. Thanks!

The issue with the 800 C is that it weighs 2.5 more pounds than the 800 X with absolutely no more performance. Same blower with hip straps, easy start side pull and the adjustable tube length. But they are so easy to start on the ground. If I ever shut down to talk to someone, they are asked to give me a pull start.

Cool, chest and belt strap new since my 2-yr old BR800x, cool idea to use right hand to complete pulling rope… love mine; less walking less arm-swinging than handhelds I was using. I carry a bottle of gas in my pocket on my biggest property which gives and extra 20 mon to get done w/o having to walk all the way back to truck… bout 50 min run at mostly full throttle - you ladies have a lawn company ! Woo hoo

The chest strap can be moved down to the lower portion of the shoulder straps. If you look there's a sewn portion in the lower part of the straps and there are cutouts and the actual chest straps themselves allow them to be removed and placed lower. Maybe this will help you out. I have the same blower and I love it. keep up the good work.

Supposedly there is a setting on the stihl blowers behind the air filter that makes it easier to start in the cold. Ive never tried a br800 so im not sure if it has it or if it comes already on winter mode but its useful information.

Ya should have bought an Echo! Just kidding! Loved the vid, keep up the good work! I have a 3.5 acre pasture i collect leaves from, compost them, and put the compost on the garden! Also, those big backpack blowers were designed for tall men, not teenaged girls. My echo is the lightest weight(but powerful ) blower they sell, and i can go for 6 hours at a time before i call it a day. Oh, and I’m a 65 year old grandma! If i can do it, you can, for sure! Safety tip- you might want to put your hair up in a braid to keep it from blowing in your face, and might want to wear a mask to keep leaf mold out of your lungs. I wear a full helmet with ear protection, just the same as i do for chainsaw, power pruning and other dangerous work.

Not yet, lol! I believe the bill proposed was to ban gas blowers for 2022, not sure if it got passed though🍂
