Ahead of me is a journey through the places that I remember most beautifully. Here, the Jordan Trail was the most wild and inaccessible, and the road provided me with the most extraordinary experiences and impressions. Jordan once again showed me its amazing face.
Jordan Trail day 29
Stage: Wadi Musa - Ga Mebred
Distance: 27km
Total distance: 712km
I set off on the trail before 8 am and headed towards Petra. I tried to pass the Siq as quickly as possible to pass by the huge crowds of tourists that poured into the ancient city like a great river. When I turned left behind the amphitheater, I was alone. I got into the rhythm very quickly and walked slowly along the narrow path. From the very beginning, the road was not easy. However, already accustomed to the specificity of the trail, I was able to cope with the stones quite efficiently. The road led me to a dry river that led me for the next few kilometers. I was doing so well that at one point I missed the moment when I should have turned right and avoided a huge drop. I didn't want to go back and managed to find an alternative way. Only at the very end there was a problem. I was literally on the trail, but I had to climb a ledge that was 1.5 m high. I made myself some stone steps and pulled myself up. I was on a stone path and could go on. After 3km I came across a spring, actually a few puddles. Nevertheless, I filled two bottles and moved on. Today, it is the only source of water on the road. There were and will not be shops and telephone coverage. The further road led again along the riverbed and then with a sharp approach I walked on the stones again. After a while the trail turned right and another dry river bed appeared. I walked about two kilometers and when I noticed that the area was getting lower and narrower, I decided to finish the hike so as not to make any problems and not spend the night in the riverbed. Off to the side was a nice piece of flat land with no rocks. I pitched my tent, built a fire and made some tea. As I sat eating my dinner, I felt happy. Surrounded by mountains and silence, I absorbed this place with my whole being. By the time I finished my tea, it was already dark so I slowly started to get ready for bed. However, then I saw two small points of light in the darkness approaching me. When they were close, I called Sallam Aleikum. It turned out that the Bedouins sensed my hearth and decided to visit me. It was interesting. We tried to talk a bit and then traditionally there were singing 😊

Jordan Trail day 30
Stage: Ga Mebred - Wadi Gseib
Distance: 29km
Total distance: 741km
I slept a very sound sleep last night. I also realized that I rest best in a tent. When he stays with someone or in a hotel, there are always temptations or long conversations. When I sleep in a tent, the day cycle is more natural. When the sun goes down I immediately go to sleep and at dawn I am up and rested.
I prepared a very modest breakfast. Bread with hummus and tomato. I put the kettle on the fire to make tea and made camp. As I was getting ready to leave, in the distance I saw a shepherd leading his flock. He was the only man I saw today.
I started down the riverbed and walked for several kilometers. The high rocks surrounding me were beautiful. The trail wasn't difficult today, you could say it wasn't very comfortable. The bottom of the river was filled with a thick layer of sand in which I sank down and this delayed the march. However, it was enjoyable. At some point I realized that I haven't checked my position in a long time. I was doing so well that I completely forgot about it. I looked at the GPS... Well, almost a kilometer ago I was supposed to turn left. I went back and walked the narrow path that led me to another river with a few puddles in it. I took advantage of the situation and filled all the bottles with water.
A mile or two further on, I took a tea break. I boiled the water I found earlier and drank two cups of the infusion. The road then led me up and down the valley. The day was slowly coming to an end and it was time to look for a place to stay. More than a kilometer from the trail, I spotted a water source. So I turned right and did indeed find three small puddles. There was plenty of space for a tent nearby. I set up camp and started a fire. I took some water, then boiled it and brewed tea as usual. It was already dark, the fire had gone out, so I decided to end the day and slipped into my sleeping bag. I fell asleep quickly....
