Hello everyone, I came here specifically to warn every one to stay away from this looper. The RC-600 is a buggy mess and is not nearly ready for a gigging musician. I have been embarrassed by this Looper Pedal when it crashes or randomly changes tempo while I'm performing in front of a crowd. I feel betrayed by Boss as a company and I am pissed as hell that they would sell this when it is far from ready for release. I updated the firmware a couple times now, (currently running 1.2) and while some old bugs are fixed, brand new bugs are introduced. I paid about $700 for this piece of shit and I can't believe how often this looper has let me down/ humiliated me. This Looper has so many options, that by the time you realize its buggy and not you misunderstanding how to use it, it will be too late to return it. A bit FU to Boss and anyone who suggested I buy this looper.

Wow....that was one harsh review and would never consider purchasing this model after reading your comments. Sorry to hear about your problems and appreciate you sharing your thoughts to save others like myself unneeded grief. So let me ask what looper would you recommend to a guitarist looking for a high end model that has an easy work flow and is proven reliable? Just out of curiosity, if you sold the RC-600 what did you replace it with?

I gigged with this last night . I have to say it definitely sounds good but it is totally non practical to use. Accessing the effects is way too cumbersome so you'll definitely have to use a fx alongside it which then means you need 20 ft of room as it's huge . I think it could really benefit with some kind of update where you can use an iPad to control it.

Does anybody know, on a boss rc30, can I extend the length of the initial loop? For example, I loop something that is 4 bars / measures. What if I want to use my second channel to loop six bars / measures. Is that possible? I know this isn't an RC 30 tutorial or review but I thought I might check here. This is the main reason I want to upgrade for my RC 30. Because I feel like I'm trapped to the time signature of my first loop. Hopefully this makes sense

Does it not kill you there's NO TUNER on this thing?! Not even about the money I had to buy a Boss TU-3 pedal and I hate the hassle of the dongle setup so much I don't tune. Like how could they build something that does everything but tune? Maybe if enough people ask Boss to include a tuner in a future update they'll finally listen?

If Boss (and other manufacturers) would put the pedals on the floor where they belong and the knobs, connectors, and display in the rack where they belong, support 48KHz/96KHz sampling, digital audio I/O, removable storage, I'd start calling Boss (and the other guys') gear "pro gear". (Yes.. it'd be double the price.. but...soooooo worth it to many professionals). I still have my Ibanez UE-404 effects from the 1980's.. Pedal board on the floor.. main unit in a 19 in. rack. Perfect! All that said, Boss/Roland equipment is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it’s got serial mode & if you wanna do the baseline thing, you don’t have to record a track in double time then slow it down half to get the octave down? Cool, I bought a ehx 95000 which has 6 tracks but no serial mode, I didn’t realize before i got it, actually I would’ve never thought a looper would have 6 tracks & no serial mode, totally doesn’t make any sense, & the bass thing is like I said speed up, slow down then your octave is dropped, totally R-worded

I am a bassist and during Christmas 2021 I bought a new Boss RC500 looper station. I can play a small amount of guitar chords so this looper is perfect for my practice sessions where I can record guitar and play bass along with it or visa versa. It also features built in drum tracks which is helpful. For my needs the RC500 has more features than I will ever use 😆 This RC600 is mega powerful and I can see for a professional musician this would be a great investment. Boss (Roland) make excellent products and built like tanks.

Great content. You look and play like our basements smell similar. Way to put that strat tone to work. I started playing electric but have been playing solely acoustic for 20 some odd years. Recently I got the urge to purchase a strat again...your video has further strengthened that urge. Would you recommend that workstation for someone who would switch between multiple guitars in a life situation i.e. start-off maybe with acoustic and beatboxing. Pick up an electric lay some additional chops and the baseline. That's kind of what I'm looking for something to allow me to do a one-man band type of deal. I definitely don't need that fake drum section s*** that boss puts on there. But I am a big fan of Boss/Roland in general. I love how easy their gear is to use. I use tobswear by a br800 when I first started making music is the front end of my rig before I would send it to a sequencer on my computer... I still use that set up occasionally but I now I primarily use some bs avid soul sucking ptools setup that sounds great and has an amazing workflow what takes all the creativity and stress out of the process.. anyway cheers you got a new subscriber

Hey there, Is it possible to ALL PAUSE every track? I know there is the ability to all stop, which I use regularly. I have a part in one of my songs that requires all tracks to pause and then I'd like the RC 600 to start playing all of the tracks where they left off, instead of starting at the beginning of the loop. Being able to assign this to a footswitch would be very helpful. I've searched the product pages and dug through the menus and have found no answers.

Hello Cooper, thanks for the video, it seems to me that the connection you make is from an output (I don't know if it is general or assigned) to the amplifier that we see behind you. It starts out fine, but when you add the bass line it messes up the mix with muted guitar strumming in my opinion (I hear it in my professional headphones), wouldn't it be better to take the bass out a different output into a PA? I join the others in that test with acoustics and other effects as you promise. By the way, could you tell me if the two effects you say you used, the octave and the LFO, are from the FX in group, or from the FX out group. The reverb in the voice would also be great, because that's where I see most youtubers fail, I'd settle for just hearing something decent. Thank you.
