I was told when I was “2or 3” years old, grandad would put my in the “messy frigisum” and give me rides for the exact purpose of making me fall asleep. I was grandads “fender weight” from then on until I was too big to be comfortable with us both riding on his tractors.

There are many videos on KZitem of sleeping sounds - you should make a video of sleeping sounds from the noise from one of your tractors (I think is the green one) - I love the sound of that tractor when it is running hard and fast across a field - great sound.

I remember falling asleep in my dad's lap plowing with my grandpa's 4020. But I also have almost fallen asleep plowing by myself on the same tractor at 3am trying to beat the weather. Now with my little guy 4 generations have sat in the exact same seat.

The white looks good with new rubber. I had some worn out bias ply tires on my AC 7010, I had them come out on some Michelin radials on (18.4 R38 agribibs) and she looks mean and it made a world of a difference. I could grab 4 more gears now that I’m not slipping around everywhere and it lugs the tractor down instead of spinning out. It was a lot of money to throw down but I’m happy with the purchase after the first use

Nice too see you getting some field work done Ethan. I have a question for you since you have been doing a fair amount of field reclamation the last couple of years. I have about two acres of Alder that got flattened from the heavy snow and ice we got up here this year. I'm thinking about putting it into hay but I have never dealt with anything like Alder roots. Do you have any ideas for how to get rid of them?

A root rake is gonna be about your only viable option. Or a really heavy construction style offset disk.

What year is the 4-150? I ran one with a very similar dash in 1977. It was a loaner form the south bend plant with an experimental disk. I was king of the hill for a couple of days as a young man. Somewhere there was a hand written review form I completed. I had to measure depth, various speeds and total fuel used plus I am sure some other stuff. I wish I had thought about taking pictures with a regular camera. Then in the fall, got a 2-155 with a disk with hydraulic wings that were kept folded. On the back of the disk was a chisel plow that was controlled by the wing circuit as the wings weren’t used. As I recall it didn’t work very well as the weight was way off. Hard to believe that was 46 years ago. But one reason I love the Oliver white line.

1974. Pictures would have been nice. There’s nothing of that nature from south bend.
