Matt, I've been a fan of your channel almost since it's creation. I haven't left a comment for probably 5 or 6 years. I just wanted to thank you for sharing so much information. I don't think your ranking amongst the woodworking community has moved an inch - still number ONE. If you continue to produce programming I will continue watching... such a deal for you....Seriously, I pray that God will continue to bless your wonderful family.

I worked on a big job on an Airforce base where we built over 350 houses (entire neighborhood essentially, on the base). And we bought a new forklift similar to this one, and it costed $90k.. I had to hire a guy to drive it full time, because it never stopped moving.

😂😂😂 YES!! A group of friends and I once went to a seafood restaurant right on the docks where the boats unload their catch. There also happened to be a large collection of birds associated with that location. As we walked across the very large parking lot there was a commotion among the birds above us where one group seemed to be chasing the other and all kinds of sharp changes in direction were taking place with the birds. The flight path of one bird being chased was directly at one member of our group and about 2 meters before a collision the bird made a sharp maneuver going straight up and at the same time emptying it's bowels. It was like a perfect bombing run and this person got completely plastered with bird poop. All over his wind breaker, his face, glasses, and hair. We tried to be helpful to him but it took a little while to stop laughing. What are the chances that something like that could happen??? 🤔

...and on today's episode of "This New Barn", Matt and Don work with the team to deliver, mark, and install the trusses on the rough framing. Watch as the brave delivery man negotiates the homestead obstacle course with the help of Matt's expert forklift truck driving. Marvel at the wonderful drone camera work. Gasp in awe at Donovan's expert hangar placement. Watch the daredevil carpentry work as they balance themselves high upon the scissor lift! Wonder at the amazing flying end truss instillation. What will Matt do as he adjusts the trusses high above the barn floor? Watch in shock and awe as Matt, Don, and the team drive the lift from above over 20 feet in the air! Corporate sponsorship of "This New Barn" provided by...woodworking...

Hey there bud, I'm getting ready to put up a large man cave to store classic cars and trailers, it will be 60x120x18. We will break ground next week, it currently is a bean field, I bought 9 acres and now have to get a driveway and pad all ready. I have been buying all the essentials over the last year, trying to buy as much as I could so it's not such a big investment right up front. I'm also spray foaming the inside and will have in floor heat. Good luck with your build!

It’s looking more like a BIG shop every video. In the last video someone mentioned that the Tele-Handler was the MVP of the show and that assignment also applies to this video. We did a house like this, except it was on concrete walls with ICF blocks. And the Trusses were made to have a second story in the middle. You could have modified your trusses to have a 12' or 16' wide loft in those trusses. Even if you didn't use it, it could still be there for expansion later; but oh well. It's looking good so far.

Its seems when ever I buy something the wife has to ask how much did it cost? Why do you need it? What are you going to use it for? These are the gishtapal questioning of spending money. I sure you can rent one but buy the time you get done with it it would have been cheaper to own it.

Awesome sized shop but I have a question. I understand wanting the barn look but with the trusses built the way they are I can't help but see everything over the 14 foot ceiling as unusable space. The way the trusses are framed there is no real way to make a loft or make a second floor space for storage with easy access. Seeing the height of the building vs the walls there is a ton of room that appears to be wasted opportunity.
