Please note - I am now aware of the spelling mistake on destruction. I am dyslexic and did not see it while editing the video. I will re-release it in the future and hope it does not upset too many people.

Also I noticed, for me anyway, that the beach walk really worked because I was focused on your words while the images of the action going on in the landscape were coming to me!

That's really useful to know! There may be more beach walks in the future, but next series is based around two museums in North East England. I am glad you enjoyed it though!

Hi Wayne - you didn't need to delete that comment - I'm fine with people knowing, it may even get them to watch the video on the Neolithic population and then the one on the Bronze Age pop! Thanks again for watching the vidoes and being involved! There's a handful of people who I know watch and comment and I really appreciate it!

Whew! Awesome as always. Great excuse for me to finally go into my Norse grandfathers individual time periods. (all genealogy is based on conflicting records and the Mother's truthful telling of her children's paternity but that said..) In my tree 880 was Rognvald The Wise Eysteinsson B Norway D Orkney then through his son Hrollaug Rognvaldsson brother of Hrolfr (possibly Rollo) of Normandy. 1066 Richard Thurston Haldup From Tillieres Normandy to La Hay-duPuits and his son Ranuylf (Sir Ralph) De La Haye recorded in many sources as the Seneschal (steward) of Robert Count of Mortain. Then DE LA HAYE family of Halnaker Sussex and Lincolnshire down to HAYES. 1174 Ralph de la Haye was fighting with Hugh Bigod against Henry II with his sons when Henry captured Eleanor! I just noticed while doing this that Hrollaug's son Hrolf was also called Brico de Thurstan and that Brico was origin of Norman name of Bigod. So Ralph was probably related to Bigod. I'll save that rabbit hole for another day. ok that was fun distraction for sure thanks for the background of Northumbria at this time. Oh and in my Hayes line is also the Dutton line I traced back to ODARD of Normandy and first Lord of Dutton Cheshire and one day will track his family back must be vikings too. Thanks Alex... now back to writing my book.

I do enjoy reading your comments about the early medieval kingship of Normandy and France.
