One of my favourite top 10 lists so far. Some great games here, and I have to give Sam props this time for choosing most of them. Thanks to Zee for reminding me of Uchronia. I'm a big fan of Glory To Rome and can't get a copy for love or money, so will definitely be checking that one out. Sam's on the money with Guildhall - the only one on this list that I own, and actually one of my favourite games.

I couldn't agree more about OverPower. Starship Catan that's an underrated game. It get's overshadowed by Starfarers Catan and Star Trek Catan. It's a solid medium-weight 2-Player game not many of those either. When it came out it was cheap and best of all it came in a small box jam-packed with beautiful components. It was a portable and easy to teach game with enough strategy to make it interesting. Rivals of Catan though overshadows it when it comes to 2-Player Catan games. I guess It's because Rivals of Catan feels the closest to the original Catan as a 2-Player game and the length time is shorter, a quick fun game can be had.

Sam I completely agree with you about Starfarers. Its completely killed Settlers for me and is no where near as dry. The ships were crazy fragile though. I still have 2 of my 6 that I need to re-glue the tips on. Also didn't realize that Guildhall was so low on bgg. Crazy. My kids love Temple Run and I was also pleasantly surprised by it. I've literally just made the purchase and can't wait to play this game, and his review made me drool over the game. Did not like Lascaux. You get pretty stressed, ultimately for no reason. I felt like I had a ton of stones and no cards, but somehow ended up having 5 points and the winner had 6 points, only because of a secondary card set he had that nobody else had randomly. I went for horses and only horses, and the only way I won them, was by being first pick. So I felt like I was losing the whole time, but ended up in 2nd, very underwhelming.

I loved Tannhäuser saddly it didn't seem to go over well with my play group. I think Fantasy Flight did a great job revising the game and giving the support that they did. Though rules were still a little complex, and I'm not sure if the characters were balanced well. Note: The pic you show of boardgame at 25:16 includes two figures that are not Tannhäuser figures. Their D&D plastic figures that happen to be the same scale and base size.

I think Tom, Zee and Sam should make a top 10 list for Money Sink games. What would be the top 10 games that if you were to spend tons of money that it would be worth it like X-Wing and Warhammer! Personally I enjoy Heroclix for the comic aspect. I think that would be quite interesting. I know many games have expansions and you are sinking money into them but true money sink games are ones that if you want to play big or crazy games you need to toss in money to make it happen. I can see Warhammer on the top of Sam's list and possibly each of you have the Stars Wars X-wing game!
@MegaSilver

Dan Law Thrown out? O_O Anyway, go to heroscapers(dot)com. There's two main types of "official" customs on the site (as it, playtested rigorously like the original HS), C3G, which creates Superheroes, and VC which creates figures that can fit into original classic HS. I'm MegaSilver on the site, one of the Moderators. Find me on there and I'll send you more direct links. Same thing applies to anyone else interested! :)
