Hey Tim, just want to say thank you for yoga videos you're posting on KZitem. I've been following your exercises for 4 or 5 months (started on your old KZitem channel and now following the new one). Thanks to everyday yoga exercise I feel more energized. I live an active lifestyle pretty much my entire life. I did morning and evening exercise for years because that's the only way to be somehow energized for me. Only in the last year I understood that's because of poor posture. Then I started visiting massage therapist every week and my "super tight" shoulders and lower back became "just tight". Then I started practicing yoga exercises. My massage therapist said my back muscles became more elastic and not too tight (I work at the computer and that's pretty common). I started visiting massage therapist for one day a week instead of two after few months of following your challenge daily. For the last month I visited massage therapist only two times but that's not enough and I'll switch back to the weekly visits. You empathize importance of unstucking shoulders and back in general. I definitely can say that massage is the great way to open tight muscles and could be considered "cheat code". This way I can start yoga practice with something near to the good posture. Thanks for your attention to foundations. I've tried following some another yoga teachers and all of them are too fast even after a few repetitions of the same videos. Thank you again, Tim.

Love how u inserted couple of new poses I hadn’t seen u do in previous ones i watched. kept it fresh but familiar enough. Wonderful class. Well sequenced with mindful pace and loved how you took the time for the wind down and included savasana! Also really nice with the short "meditation" intro before starting. In a level 2, generally I might expect harder work an/or more advanced poses but the level-labeling depends on the teacher and the kind of yoga that is taught..with time I've learned how Tim label his classes... I appreciate his teaching style, especially when I (for some reason need it.. or) want to do it gradually/detailed/slower with a smart "build up/preparation" during the class. Includes crow pose with optional one-legged-crow.

Love your videos Tim, perfect combo of strength and stretching for me and am really grateful you make these available for free. Just one minor bit of constructive criticism - please when you give the option for a vinyasa allow us the time to actually do it. I often find myself trying to rush and catch up because you say 'straight to down dog or take a vinyasa' and then a second later it's 'step your right foot by your thumb' without the time for me to go through the vinyasa. Everything else is perfect though!

Hi Valentina. Thanks for sharing. Even if I'm speaking faster or slower than your body or breath are moving, just move at your own pace. I'm simply here to tell you what comes next. If you're interested in longer/slower videos that don't feel rushed, I strongly suggest checking out the conscious movement community if you haven't already! You can access it via my website - yogawithtim.com - there I post longer/more in depth videos along with a lot of other content that I'm sure you would like! First 2 weeks are free so you can try it out to see if you like it first :)

Wow! This total body burn was great and well needed. I'm still not good at arm balances and need to work on it big time. The rest of this level 2 yoga I did with no problems. I have arthritis in lower back which I think is progressing. Could you please recommend any exercises for that? I'm not the type of person to cave into any aches and pains. I would rather maintain my body than complain about it. Please make any recommendations so I can continue with being active and having a positive outlook about the aging process, which in my eyes is really just a number...lol. Have a great week ahead, Tim. Thank you for all you do. Namaste!

Sorry for the long comment...Love arm balances; gaining strength to do them better with chest open, eager to work on them to work on strengthening my whole back, core and serratus (sp?). Couldn’t lift my leg for one legged crow (fear, maybe?), so put my feet back down to practice what lifting the leg off of my arm feels like- helped to get it better, but still far from elegant. Enjoying my efforts to make everything feel more fluid. *Would love more focus on lower back/sacrum/ lifting/opening pelvis region. *I’ve also caught myself walking on the outside of my feet so any additional work strengthening the arches/grounding/lifting through the feet is so appreciated! When my base is stable and open with good support, this entire body falls into place much more easily, along with the grounded, weightless, lifted feeling that really embodies the physical practice of yoga that I chase. Thanks again Tim! Cute haircut Ollie!!
@yogawithtim
5 жыл бұрын
Hey Amy, glad you gave it a shot. Thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. What type of focus on the sacrum lower back are you looking for specifically? For the second the standing poses should address this. BE more conscious in all of your standing poses how both feet are grounding. This will change the way your arches, legs, and core activate.

Thank you for sticking with us through savasana! For such an important part of practice, I am always surprised (and a little annoyed) by how many KZitem instructors leave us during that part! What many may not realize is that commercials almost begin to play immediately after the video ends. It’s a frustrating end to an otherwise joyful practice.
