After several uses of my homemade reverse disc I am very pleased with it's performance. I have used it about 10 times and it is only showing minimal wear and only on the sharp corners that engage the pulley first. I was expecting it to wear into the shape of the V grove and actually was expecting more wear than this. No squeals or chatter, just smooth operation. Very happy so far.

Great videos of the rebuild. Thanks for taking the time to post on YT. I have a much greater appreciation of the work others have done on my tiller in the past and the quality of the machine.

Awesome job on the rebuild, congrats. I hope to do the same with my 1979 Horse II. Just need to find some seals, bearings and shims... Now with your videos I can tackle this without fear...Many thanks! Mike

It is not any where near as difficult as it would seem. These were built pretty simple but tough. Feel free to ask questions if you need a hand.

Great job on the rebuild! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to video every step of the process. They were very well done with lots of good information and technical specs. Could you send me a copy of your PDF. It sure would be great to have it to go by. Thanks again and keep saving the old iron.

Great videos and very nice work on the rebuild. I inherited a 1980 Horse 8 HP from my grandfather last year. It's built like a tank but doesn't run. After watching your videos, I'm excited to tear into this spring and make it look and run like new again. I may have some questions if you're up to it. Thanks again and great work! Michael (too many Mike's already commenting)

Thanks. I was looking at the Super A earlier this summer and found I can't move the shifter into any gear and am afraid the transmission is seized up. Rethinking that project. Maybe I will start on one of the F-12's

Not sure I will start on the Super A. The engine is locked up and the trans is in neutral so the shifter will move left or right but wont forward or back. No telling what is wrong in there. Spending some time and money on the Ford 861.

Good morning. I have a 1976 also. Watched your rebuild think I need to do the same thing. Where did you find your manual?

Great rebuild, Were you thinking about selling any of those reverse discs? I'd love to try one out. My engine smoked once and it was because I checked the oil without screwing the dipstick in all the way and over filled it. Oil was coming out the carb till I figured it out. My book says check oil with depth regulator in the fourth notch and screw in dipstick. Hope that's all that's wrong with yours!

Just wanted to clarify the oil check. that's for the Tecumseh 6 hp HH60. If you have the kohler 7 hp it says don't screw in the dipstick.

My Kohler doesn’t have a screw-in dipstick. It just pushes on over an o-ring.
