ust an update since I started the Carnivore diet. I started July 1st. I lost 12 lbs. I finally got below my plateau weight of 160 I weighed in on Friday morning and I asked my husband to come and check the scale, to make sure I was not just seeing things. I weigh now 158. I am so excited. Just saying. Sincerely, LiAne H. from Crosby TX

I've been trying this for a couple of months and finding it extremely interesting. I'm more in tune with my body than ever in my life and having a cascade of health benifits as I go. I was getting a little tired of steak and discovered ground beef (particularly the cheap fatty stuff) was a pleasant change and is a very inexpensive way to eat too.

@@kellykern4771 Good on you Kelly. After an extra 9 months since I posted that It's continuing to be a facinating journey to discover that the advice we've been bought up on is so flawed. I'm still enjoying many benifits of keto/ carnivore although I expect at some point my body might be looking for trace nutrients of some kind. I did have a patch where I craved beetroot and indulged in a few meals of canned salmon with some chunks of beetroot included. That passed and I'm enjoying lamb at the moment that was supplied through my sisters farm. There's lots of delicious cuts and it's nice to know where the animal comes from. It's also working out to be extremely cheap living as far as food goes. I'd love to compare the emission footprint with regards to the vegan narrative too. I expect my lifestyle is far more ecologically sound than what they are claiming.

@FightingFury2023 From what I'm discovering the biggest threat to my health is continuing with the idea that I was going to heal by eating a "Healthy" Mediterranean diet. I've left that idea behind due to the health benifits I'm experiencing now. You're right that things are always more complicated than we think, so I'm not going to expand on the ideas because all "narratives" are abstractions and subject to infinite delusions even though there are plenty of scientists and doctors that are demonstrating that saturated fats and red meat are unlikely sources of failing health in Western populations. Your misplaced concern for me is noted. Of course we're all on the path to death. There's plenty of evidence in my life at the moment that the change I made is probably extending my life as opposed to your theory. There's also a woman in Canada who's been carnivore for about 50 years in her 80s. She could pass for a woman half that age. Maybe it's genetics, maybe some people thrive on very different things. I don't know the answers outside of my personal experience. I'm guessing that market interests, politics and ideology have polluted science much more than we collectively understand, particularly in the area of nutrition. If you haven't tested what it's like to break carb addiction. You're not even in the race to understand anything in the nutritional world though...

I'm on high fat carnivore right now and I'm 5 days in. I did Atkins many years ago and had huge success, so I'm familiar with the concept of eating tons of animal products. I'm mainly eating beef because chicken is too bland and pork is only interesting when I have a craving for it. I can't eat eggs because they make me nauseated and I can't stand the smell. I'm sticking to black coffee with full fat heavy cream. It helps with the fat intake and I love the taste of it plus I refuse to give it up because it doesn't hurt me in any way. As for seasonings, I don't think I'll ever be able to do beef/salt/water only. So I'm bbqing all my beef with Himalayan pink salt, pepper and a sprinkling of garlic powder. It gives me just enough flavour to enjoy my food without throwing me out of fat burning. My son and I disagree on this point, but it was he who gave up carnivore the last time because it was too strict and he couldn't deal with the sweet cravings. I've shed 3.9 kg (8 lbs) in the 5 days I've been doing it and I feel like a million bucks.

Something I’ve found very helpful is easing into carnivore rather than diving in cold turkey. I’m now 2 weeks in and almost fully carnivore. I started out including lots of fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, pears, some veggies like broccoli and corn, and occasional junk food. I’m not overweight, but I did frequently indulge in junk like soda especially rootbeer, Doritos, cheesits, and so on. I was hesitant to jump into carnivore, so I’ve been easing into it. I’m just now finishing my case of rootbeer so I don’t have to battle with my cravings any more, and at this point I don’t even have a craving or desire for any junk. I’ll still add in a banana for breakfast occasionally, maybe a cup of coffee. I’ve also found that caffeine combined with water does a lot to curb any hunger I might feel, though I rarely ever feel hungry anymore. I wake up, make me breakfast at around 10am, go to work, and I might have a light hunger by the time I get home and make dinner at 10pm.

Definitely not carnivore diet friendly 😅 It is in the top 10 most allergenic foods and highly inflammatory for a lot of people. Carnivore i effective because it reduces inflammation.

I am 1 year 4 months carnivore and it's ben and interesting journey, when I first started I ate a lot, I also only wanted ribeye's and bacon and eggs, then I wanted only ribeye's raw and raw egg yolks, now I can only eat twice a day and barely a half pound of beef a day and I only seem to want ground beef, salmon and pasture raised eggs. I have healed myself of a ton of health issues and have lost 40 pounds so far. Best thing I ever did going carnivore, it gave me my life back.

Your comment is very encouraging, I was a little overwhelmed thinking I would need to spend so much $$ on Ribeye, ect. Thanks!

You mentioned that you healed yourself with this diet. What types of health issues? I am researching and starting on my first day off. Less stressed. But I am concerned mainly healing myself if inflammation and weight loss. But my adult daughter has severe asthma and severe sinuses plus severe allergies to several different foods. She does not need to lose weight. Don't like skinny much. Did you deal with any of these issues?
@witchhunt5781

@Katherine Gordon Um...not a choice. My eldest is a gym rat, very low percentage of body fat, very big on protein. The only issue I have it reminds me of always dieting in the military to pass my height/weight test. And then when you're on deployments or military excersize they feed you the worse possible foods. So you're stuck on protein drinks. It's just a period of my life that makes staying healthy & fit not fun at all. Before military it was fun. I have to get back to that...make it enjoyable or at least pretend. One if the KZitemrs I saw made it look fun because you also save money. So to me that is fun. Saving money is a motivator for me well that and simplicity.

You realize that the entire food system is a scam. The entire grocery store is just a toxic sugar farm, and has nothing good except for the tiny section in the back that sells meat. The entire grocery store could be the size of a gas station if you removed the 25 isles of gluten, plant foods, and sugary treats. Entire isles of just candy and soda, think about how insane that is? Entire isles of chemical lotions and potions that pour on your skin to kill you? Entire isles of fluoride. All restaurants and fast food is "plant based."

I am so very glad I found you! I was searching for information on spices and found your KZitem channel. This is all very new to me. I just started Carnivore 2-3 days ago. I have noticed significant changes already. No brain fog, smelling better, blurry vision left, no longer bloated or constipated. LOL You gave me more information than all the hours of KZitem videos I have watched. You are such a Blessing! So glad I found you. FYI.... I am diabetic (very addicted to sugar and carbs. had a heart attack 6 years ago, and had a stroke last January, 9 2022. I am currently wheelchair reliant due to paralyzed left side ) So very tired of being sick and tired. Today I turned down a chocolate and whipped cream dessert and warm fresh bread. I feel so very satisfied on this plan, my sugar cravings have ceased.

When I first started the carnivore diet there was little information out there and everything was very confusing. So as I learned I wanted to share. FYI I personally no longer eat strict carnivore as it wasn’t necessary for me personally, but I have experienced the benefits and seen them with clients. I still eat a meat heavy low carb diet ❤️

My mum had a stroke 8 years ago she didn't get good rehabilitation and has been highly medicated since they blame it on the brain injury and dementia but I believe its the meds and the foods from the start that have caused her to suffer just waiting for her body to give out . Good on you fighting for your health pray all the discipline and love to succeed in your journey to better health. God bless 💜🙏 I am trying to take a stand against the medical system and my family.

@@eleanorward9533 I was very fortunate that the stroke was on my right sight, so I woke up from the stroke aware of who I was and I had not lost any memory of before the stroke. Able to speak. I was blessed by a great team of Therapists who aggressively started teaching me to walk, because my left side was paralyzed and taught me how to dress and bathe myself. I was in the hospital for 5 weeks. 2 weeks for recovery, then moved to In patient rehab. I can walk about 35-45 steps with a quad cane, then I give out. I was gaining significant weight and was worried the diabetes was going to give me a 2nd stroke, so I started searching on KZitem and found Carnivore. Very happy and see the results I have been wanting. Hard to believe I saw such significant change in such a few short days. Tomorrow will be day 14. I have been strict. Meat, salt, water, still having coffee with heavy cream and Skinny Jordan-irish cream-0 sugar, 0 calories( I haven't missed my sugar!!!) And I wore a continuous glucose monitor! My sugar has been 100!! I fought to keep it below 200. Oh, and the heart attack- I have 6 stents. It did not scare me to quit sugar! The Lord has been my rock and my salvation. 😊

Another great video Kait! Have you read Nina Teicholz's book The Big Fat Surprise? I really think this should be required reading not just for anyone interested in health and nutrition but if you eat. Okay I think EVERYONE should read it. I was born in 1958 and have lived through the move to processed, simple, quick, foods, then the move to "low fat" and diet sodas.. Simultaneously I witnessed obesity, cancer, IBS, Celiacs, exponentially rise. As corn & corn oil began replacing many natural ingredients health dropped. Ms Teicholz's book reads somewhere between a text book and a detective novel. It is fact filled and never boring. It perfectly explains where the American diet went wrong. If you haven't read it I promise you'd love it.

@@wendyvanrooy9040 yeah I watched her presentation on Big Fat Surprise in several KZitem videos and they contained nearly everything in the book. To be honest I bought the book to maybe read later but mostly because I felt she deserves to sell a many copies as possible because of her great work and research. It's sad that the USDA, FDA, and schools and universities completely ignore the truths exposed by her research. In Europe it's much different. They've pretty much outlawed the food that is sold in the USA. If food from the USA is shipped to Europe the ingredients are changed tosomething less harmful

I love beef and chicken and many other meats but I do like some veggies. I’m just hesitant on cutting out everything plant based. I can understand getting rid of the sugary stuff and starches that turn into sugars. But still can’t wrap my head around sitting down to a plate of just meat. But I do want to try it.

You can't tell people they need three teaspoons of salt a day. They're not all built like you. We're not all athletes. I require very little food and very little salt indeed as I sit at my desk all day and am seventy-three. Three teaspoons of salt would have me running to the loo all day.

Thank you fot the guidance. If I can add my 2 cents; The"Grey areas" you mention are determined by the Oxalate tolerance of each individual. The toxins and anti-nutrients in plants, spices, coffee, tea etc. will tell everyone how much if any, should be included.
