Hi Dee, great video! I have 2 tips; the first would be to move your fire extinguisher near your side door. If you have a flare-up, you'll want to exit the van first and then grab the extinguisher that you can reach from the doorway. The second tip is to use a couple of magnets to help hold down your windscreen to your stove. The magnets do a decent job securing the aluminum screen to the steel stove. Happy and safe travels :-)

I may cook when I retire and can be on the road for longer periods. Right now I just eat raw, lots of fruit & veggies, and sandwiches or salads. I have a kettle for my pour over coffee and as I’m only out 1-3 weeks and constantly moving I don’t worry about cooking! Looks delicious! Thanks Dee!

Tasty video Dee 😊 I personally don't want gas in my car. It's still kind of a challenge to know hot food. I have an electric pan that I could use to make your falafel recipe! I also discovered thermos cooking. You can easily cook food in a wide mouth thermos. That is somewhat limited in terms of options, but I am learning more and more as I go! Your video is inspiring to look further into possibilities ❤

I absolutely love my omnia oven. But here’s a hint. Last year someone helped themselves to every single bit of my cooking gear… Stove included. Replacing just the absolute necessities was expensive so I hit a local Goodwill. There I bought a large glass lid and, what I think is an old angel food cake tin. I did purchase replacement burner bottoms (?) from Walmart… About six or seven dollars. I use the larger one for the base, blocking the hole with tinfoil, the angel food tin for the oven and the glass lid which I like so much and it worked beautifully. I also wanna add that when the omnia group found out about my loss, they sent me a beautiful new omnia oven. Since I have two campers… It worked out great! As usual wonderful video.

My favourite is easy: Kraft Mac & Cheese with vegetables and tuna. Boil the macaroni with frozen, fresh, canned or dried veggies (you might have to soak these overnight). Drain, mix in margarine (or butter), milk (I use skim milk powder and water), the cheese mix and canned tuna. My cats love the tuna water. The Mac & Cheese with tuna and veg makes a very yummy meal with leftovers for another day or another meal later. :) Oh, even though the new boxes don't have salt listed, I still add some as it really improved the taste. Great riverview campsite and your exterior table looks very inviting for a relaxing meal with something to drink, perhaps a glass of wine. I like how your kitchen is a model of simplicity but also characterized by completeness. And your ideas about how to be well-prepared for a kitchen fire are very thoughtful and effective. Falafel is a mainstay for me when I travel since I am mostly vegetarian. I am always on the lookout for a Middle Eastern or Greek restaurant where I can find a falafel pita, hopefully with a good salad and hand-cut fries. Your falafel meal with veggies and “rice” looks great, and you have a very nice profile.

Great topic, I like having multiple options for cooking. I prefer electric and have a little DASH brand plug in cooker that uses very little power and fits most of my needs. But if running low on power or no sun then like a gas option to boil water and cook. That is a very nice and compact cooking stove, I'll have to check them out. Yum, I love having falafels!!! I make them flat thought like a pancake, easier to cook that way. ;) By the way your hair looks fantastic, love the lighter cooler and lots of body, have a fabulous week lady. :*

Hey Ms. Dee! We started out with 2 burner propane cook top, but as our electric system matured, and found on FB marketplace a induction cook top for cheap we made the change. We can run the cook top, microwave or Mini-split on batteries and inverter , but only one at a time. Well thought out and well presented as always. Thank you for previously recommending a bunch of products which I've been watching the prices of on Amazon while pondering whether I wanted them. I recently grabbed a pack of the UpUGo shoe laces on sale 3pr/$7.19, and liked them so much that I bought a second pack. For now, I've just been keeping them tied while I test out exactly how tight to lace them, before snipping them to length and clamping the ends, leaving just a bit of adjustment possible with the sliding button piece. I'm zeroing in on the perfect lace tightness on my everyday hiking shoes, where they stay on great, are easy enough to get onto my feet, and don't hurt from overtightening after keeping them on all day. Nice to see that you're still using your bamboo folding table, which I've been watching/debating. On that, I'm likely to go in a different direction with a lighter aluminum-top table by Sportneer. Time will tell which one I pick, but I'm looking to save weight everywhere, to allocate a little more weight to a higher-capacity LiFePO4 battery than I have now, plus better charging infrastructure for it. Build infrastructure items, water, food, and things like table/chair/tools/utensils, luxury items, clothing, hiking/camping gear, and other stuff add up to quite a bit of space and weight capacity used up before you know it. I also loved your canvas zip bag idea, though I went mostly for tool-pouch sizes/types rather than cosmetic-bag ones, hahaha. We all have our images to protect, so if our paths ever cross, maybe you'll end up with the more feminine color bags from the assortments I've bought, if my daughters don't make off with them first. Anyway, I've already saved a lot of space and weight by ditching things like the molded plastic cases that neatly organize tools, but waste a lot of space and tempt you to carry every tool in the case, rather than just the ones that you actually need for the vehicle/stuff you actually own. The ones I don't need in the car, stay home in a tool drawer.

Brewers yeast has a lot of vitamin B12 that can help with anemia. You can sprinkle it on things like a Parmesan-not quite the same, but it can have a cheesy taste. If it is iron, that’s more difficult. There’s some decent supplements. I tend to do ok.

Hi Dee:) I have a 2013 FTC and just ran into a HUGE parts problem. Have you started to run into any issues getting parts for your FTC? I need an inexpensive part , an exhaust hose called a Purge Valve Feed Line. Unfortunately, Ford discontinues parts after 10 years and so far my mechanic cannot find one through a dealer or EBay..anywhere! Easy to find one, if I had a 2014 FTC, but the 2014 part won't fit with a 2013 because engine was changed:( When I bought it I worried about transmission and big things, but didn't think I'd need to worry about getting something small (but crucial) fixed due to lack of parts. Praying my mechanic comes up with some solution since otherwise the van is in great condition and I have many travel plans ahead!
