Glad you spoke on this cause so many girls aren't taught shit about these men growing up not a damn thing. Female relatives just allow them to believe BS fairytales and don't teach them shit. As a child I just noticed things anyway. Even the stuff people didn't talk about. And it was clear to me that men were a problem and women foolishly giving themselves to these men valuing them over their children (if they had any), themselves, and everything in life. It just looked completely insane to me. And a lot of things women wrongly call "love" is just them being foolish and refusing to take control of their own lives and putting everything they could possibly be in the hands of somebody else. The most dangerous thing a person can do.

After there, once we got out of the hospital (two nicu/picu stays he was un-present for); he would put in our notice at places we lived with leases and no new plans for moving so that we would end up homeless (trying to get us to live with his parents, who treated me even worse). He would refuse to leave anywhere new I moved to and offer to sign onto the lease when they were threatening to kick us out and "save" us... If I tried to call the cops he would show that we were married and essentially say that I was nutter butters and he loved me soooo much (all while cheating and not paying bills). He fleeced me and his children the entire time. And I tried leaving several times but neither the law or government would help me. My eyes have been open the whole time. Never change your life or what you do for a man. Earn your own money, have your own hobbies and don't have children with them unless you know you can raise them on your own. Men are fickle and selfish. Even if you marry one, he'll still do the same 💩 he would do as a bf. They also don't marry a woman because they love her, she was just the one who was current when he decided he wanted to get married. There's no point telling them they're hurting you, disrespecting you, behaving badly, whatever, because they do not care. Truly decent men, who treat women correctly are scarce and they're also capable of completely disregarding who you are, what you do and how you feel. What this guy did to this woman was nasty. "You are single until you are married." These tiktoks make it out like you'll be more valued to men if they marry you. Alot of men will treat you like shit regardless of whether you have a ring or not and in ALOT of cases the treatment gets worse. On top of that you are now legally tied to that person and some people go into debt to get divorced. Marriage doesn't fix a bad relationship and it doesn't guarantee that a decent relationship will stay decent. On top of that pressuring someone to marry you after a certain amount of time is only going to lead to a shut up ring and a resentful marriage. You can have a good relationship, even a long term one with someone without marriage. Gay people have been doing it for thousands of years.

Also, your partner could have encouraged you to go out more, he knows the area, he knows all the stuff that is there to do, help you get established, but he didn't. This kind of thinking really normalizes abuse (which I've heard often when I talk about my own abuse, 'well, it got you where you are now!'. Yep learned my lesson the hard way. Never moved for anyone but sure did center them in my life and gave wife benefits for a situationship. If I hadn’t started to find my worth I would still be dealing with that bs. I am so turned off by men because it is constantly the same script and behavior. I am more than happy in my own company. I teach my daughter every day never give herself up for any man.

Yup its the auditioning... performing... jumping through hoops.... proving your selves to these men it nvr works out. I feel for this woman it sucks. Smh i hope she made it back home to her family safely 🙏🏿 but yeah men appreciate very little or nothing in some cases its a tale old as time. The woman who said we need to make sure theres an aspect of kindness., [compassion] when were talking about decentering men. I agree. I dont believe in beating a woman when shes down

Ladies this isn't the case with every relationship but I'm sure there are red flags in these relationships that are overlooked constantly......... I personally would not consider moving unless there was an engagement and a real plan in place. Some women just live in delusion. Some long distant relationships do work out.

I have absolutely no idea how anyone can interpret what the women are saying as anything other than logical and common sense advice. Those that interpret what they say as being mean may not know what being mean is. Being mean is telling her basically that she made her bed, lie in it. And that one girl with her interpretation of this is “decentering” men in your life is the kind of friend of women I would not to take advice from. (She is the one missing the point and misaligned. Who is suppose to be the center of your life? Well for those who believe, it is God, then self. You can’t be anything for another, not even your child until you are all there for yourself. (No this does not equate to being arrogant, narcissistic and selfish, there is a difference) It is like on a flight, they tell you to put on your oxygen mask first before you attempt to put it on your child. (Once you are quickly secured, then you can secure the children.) The man in the green shirt said it all. I do not know how many times I have heard so many men and of different races all say the same thing. (That a man KNOWS fairly quickly and right up front if you are the one he wants to commit his life with and will make moves to do so). If men, themselves are telling you, giving you a heads up, a hint, a direct and unfiltered, not beating around the bush MESSAGE, then damn, what more does it take? A brick to fall on your head? Fathers, “Teach your daughters!”

I would need to know what his reaction was to her moving out there because if he was anything but overjoyed that should have made her pause and re-evaluate. I agree with the person who said it got real for him when she moved there, he then realized that she was serious and he was not, he may have even had someone else out there. I'm sorry for her but I hope she can heal and move on and learn from the seven years of her life she unfortunately wasted thinking he was worth something.

Im sorry but some of these women are coming off as condescending and like they are so above this girl but not that long ago they’ve probably made just as bad decisions. Part of decentering men and elevating as women is also having empathy for other women. The whole “I told you so” and “you should’ve known better” mentality in some of the clips is the problem with some women. When you know better you do better but don’t look down on women who are just now learning what you learned years ago

There's at least one woman who made that exact point in this video. To treat women with empathy, dignity, acknowledgement and respect. Not great her pain as a "gotcha moment" for social media content! And y'all are absolutely right! We can't elevate women, while putting each other down!

I think a lot of women and probably some men have been there. I can’t really speak for men because I really don’t know, but as a woman who spoke to many women I have found that they left their comfort zones for men. They have abandoned their family and friends just for a man who really didn’t want them. You was his entertainment while bored. Now you’re in his life now he’s like d@mn I didn’t ask you to come and invade my space.

If you can’t do something unconditionally, don’t do it. This is like the woman who gave up her kidney. Did she think she bought his soul for his kidney? In the end, it’s not a transactional arrangement. Are the men jerks, sure, but women take some responsibility here.

@@IndiTol-pi1wk Then be clear about what’s expected. If what you say is true, then go to an attorney and put it in writing stating you can sue the person if things don’t workout to your expectations. The problem is not with long distance relationships It is the fact that so many people RUSHES into relationships without learning to read the signs, actually getting to know the person and taking red flags seriously Also NEVER make sacrifices! Sacrifices are the methods of a desperate person. Desperate people make one of the dumbest choices. Sacrifices are made to RUIN happiness instead of making them. NO PERSON will need to sacrifice anything if they learned how to listen to their own feelings/respect themselves and make the right orders. Also can you get the definition of love right? There is no "fast" way to fall in love. There are parts in getting to know a person and forming a connection that is not "skipable"' nor that you should skip The WHOLE point of love is a MUTUAL connection which means that love CAN NOT HAPPEN if the other person does not feel the same way. Attraction is not love. Get it right!

Marriage dont really mean anything your still meant to be smart and save, he is still the same guy you before you married him inly difference is you signed a piece of paper. Just ensure you got your sht together before you. I dont want to hear shuda woda people attacking her her experience is traumatic and deep heart rooting that even if you female friend did that sht to you it wouldn't be acceptable. Dont give me well you should have know better coz that is BS
