This is my first RC video of many to come! I have been in the hobby for a few years now but have yet to post a video. My first RC plane was the Horizon Hobby Sport Cub S (V1) which I got in 2017 (7th grade) as a birthday gift going into the summer which taught me how to fly gyro assisted. After I learned to fly, I also started to obtain some hobby grade rc electronics for future use such as multi-cell batteries, brushless motors, servos, etc. By 2020, I had everything I needed to make a scratch-build (which ended up being the FT Simple Scout which I built shortly after getting the Trainstar). I had also watched many KZitem videos on the RC hobby, so I knew a lot more about specs of certain electronics and other useful knowledge that I hadn't before from 2017 to 2020 which led me to my next decision. I ended up returning the Sport Cub S with my warranty during this summer of 2020 since it had been beat up and worn out from learning to fly as a beginner. I ended up paying just a little bit more to get this monster of a plane for the price that you see in the video. With my previous experience on the different modes that SAFE technology offers, I was fairly confident that I could fly well enough to buy this plane knowing that it didn't have a gyroscopic system. I meant to fly this plane more after the maiden flight that is shown in the video, but I got caught up with school and other activities and before I knew it, winter arrived and I still need to get comfortable flying it, preferably in warmer weather. I had wanted to post my RC videos in chronological order, starting with this one so rather than waiting to get another flight, I figured I could post this video with the maiden flight and do a separate video(s) flying it again, mainly so that I didn't have tons of videos waiting to be posted as I do projects (I want to upload projects as I do them, not months afterwards) and this video was one of my "blockades". As of uploading this video, I have a video to be edited of my FliteTest Simple Scout build and additionally, I won an Albert Kim giveaway for a 5in racing quad which will become another video hopefully soon! Thanks for the support recently, we just hit 300 subscribers as of around November 13th to the 20th. Per usual, thanks for watching and reading my long speech about my plan for the upcoming future and I will see you in the next video!
