Doing a diy block guard with defcon with the k 24 . It will make the engine sturdy , k 24s are good motors , this time the car won't blow up . 3rd times the charm

Brother I like the concept. But for most people they probably don't want as much technical info. That being said I like what you are doing and keep up the good work. It's not easy being a parent and trying to help others out.

Yeah I just do this as a hobby. Mostly to prove builds so I can sell them down the road and there’s no doubt as to the story of the build. I might make $100 a month from KZitem so there’s no money there. It’s a fun hobby

I'm starting to go off the whole k24 with a k20 oil pump thing and I'm thinking just get a k20. Its capable of making the same power, it revs better due to having shorter stroke and it's got a lower deck height and most people struggle with the height of the long block on these engines just as you have. This goes for all k series swaps and not just yours tbh.

Good luck Ben! I decided to go with a J35 v6 for my 73’. The main reason is all ready own it. 2. It gets my a reliable 240hp that can keep me from blowing my 915 trans. 3. It will still sound like a 6 cylinder. 4. It fits pretty good. 5. There is a lot of support from the sandrail community.

Just out of curiosity, have you seen that heat shielding solution that Taylor Ray went with on his C6 drift build?

@@RSADYNAMICS The company is called HeaderShield. If you want to see it on Taylor's car, the video where you can see it is called, "C6 Corvette competition drift car build. it's finally back together." I'm sure this stuff costs a pretty penny, but it seems pretty trick.

Why not consider a J-swap? J-swap with an equal length 6-1 header sounds sick. Do it with 1.75" primaries and a 3.5" collector with a radial/sequential firing order and it should scavenge pretty well, too.

It sounds good for sure, is the j series smaller than the k series length wise , and he would have to start from scratch with the engine mounts and stuff ,

@@baysidefabrication Definition of insanity, bro. You're going to grenade another motor once those rings close up again. Maybe you can balance just the right amount of power (I think you said 400 max last time), but if you want something reliable so you can actually focus on kits instead of rebuilding this car over and over, gap the rings. Sorry this sounds harsh, I'm rooting for you, I just think the problem is obvious with the boosted K motor.

On tuning make sure you have boost set pretty low when at low RPM.

If you want to test your oil pan design it would be worth putting some rods in there so you can crank up the boost to 450/500 once you have ironed everything out and put lots of miles on the 350bhp setup

Yes the 300-400 hp is the sweet spot, honda motor love the rev,but i think they hate the boost,so if you wanna reach 500-700hp make it rev higher & easier...like some big ass camshaft, head port, valve, etc Yes the lag will be there, but that way is more safe imho Good luck bro, keep it up,i like your video 😊

Say, since it’s a Porsche why not put a Porsche engine back in, sounds like with all this hick-up here and hick-up there, you would have saved time with another refreshed Porsche engine. Not many if this was for sale would even take a chance on someone’s Frankenstein vehicle especially done to a Porsche.
