The peach thing looked good but it’s definitely a crisp not a cobbler! Cobblers are more cake like!

Thank you!! That’s what I thought- cobblers were fruit with cake type batter. Thanks for clarifying. 😅

Are those cobblers freezer friendly? These would be perfect for breakfasts, but would be even easier if I could combine everything, then freeze and stick them in the oven in the morning while everyone gets dressed.
@RowesRising
Жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not. You can also pre mix all your dry ingredients and place in mason jars to just dump and bake. Throwing the cubbed butter on top to melt through. You could assemble the night before in your pan to bake in the morning.

To chose only one recipe is hard. But, I do like the idea of a one pan meal since it's canning season. So, the kielbasa is it. But, they all look yummy! Except I'm not a bean fan but I can substitute shredded meat for the beans. Another great vlog Katie.

I’m not a fan of beans either. The kids like them and don’t seem bothered as far as I can tell. But they hurt my belly sometimes. Thanks for watching Sharon🌻

Hey if it works!! I learned kids are fine unless the seal is dry/cracking and it’s a game changer. Saving all the jars and lids now that there always seems to be a shortage.

Cobbler has oats, crisps do not. I'm not a fan of using the oats, UNTIL my MIL started making cobbler and was putting honey in the topping. It made it taste better and gave it a chewier texture. Now i love it. BUT i still prefer the crisp topping. Butter, brown sugar and flour only. 😂

Ohhhhh well I think everyone has a different interpretation of these recipes. I must try your crisp version!! Wonder if GF flour would work as well…?

I LOVE that cabinet. I originally thought about just using a 3 tier rolling cart. Ordered one from temu and when i got it, it wasn't what i thought I was getting. Returning it and will seek a better way to store away all our homeschooling stuffage. Right now our bookcase is packed full and my dryer currently has all their current curriculum on it. This small house needs proper storage or else it looks cluttered. Loving the idea of a cabinet now. My oldest son is 15 and then our other son started kindergarten this year. We decided to try Alpha Omega as our curriculum this year and so far I LOVE IT. I love how they keep everything focused around GOD, Jesus and the bible. We just started a week ago and my 15 yr old thinks it's a little too much work, but i told him that we will find our groove, and eventually you'll get better and quicker with this work. I'm enjoying reading along with him and so far this curriculum is staying spot on with the WORD. This Mom approves of Alpha Omega. ❤❤❤

Oh girl, look into getting a pastry cutter. I use it for my pie crust, crumble for all my fruit crisp recipes and so many other things. Definitely 1 kitchen product i kept when we moved and downsized.

I always wanted a pastry cutter. I used to make a lot of pies previous to being diagnosed with celiacs. I started freezing lard and grating it with a cheese grater for my pies. I shared that in a vlog with my dad last fall. I will master a GF pie crust… coming soon!! I will check out that curriculum. Right now we are using the states free homeschool curriculum and I haven’t nailed it down yet. We do Bible studies but I love the idea of the whole curriculum including God. We have TGAB too. Kinda floundering and we are considering some online schooling too to help with our transitions in life. Less books easier to travel. 😅

@@RowesRising I was pretty disgusted with our state school curriculum. We used it for 3 years and i couldn't handle the disgusting indoctrination anymore. Plus I was seeing a decline in my child's education, intelligence and some other not so pleasant attitudes that came with being on a computer all the time. It was a battle trying to get him to do the work and I caught him 100s of times not doing his work and playing games. It was a war for 3 year's, so my husband and I decided that even if it's out of pocket, that choosing the best curriculum that stays within our standards and keeps GOD first is the right choice. I'm loving to help them again. Watching him read books, opening up the bible, opening up a dictionary, writing with a pencil and pen again. This year is just a breath of fresh air and getting away from computers and electronics is the greatest bonus of all. 😍😍😍
