Yeah I hope so but also I have to be realistic now and say I’ve run 5 half’s lately all ranging from low 76 to high 79 (trail) so I think my next baby step is a 75 👌

Great job Andy. Always nice to get a time we maybe weren’t quite expecting. Way to go dealing with the stitch. Amazing how much just slightly undulating terrain can take it out of us. Sometimes I feel stronger on a longer hill because I can get into a rhythm. Wobbly bits can really throw me off haha.
@TheFODRunner

Thanks mate! Yeah the constant up and down on those last 3 miles threw me, like you I’d rather a longer steadier uphill I can get into a rhythm on!

Nice recap Andy, strong result and way to power through those stitches during the run. You’ve just proven again that running has a lot of mental hurdles to go along with the physical hurdles. You continue to inspire. Again congrats on the result!!!

It hurt just watching all those hills and sand, let alone running it! Well done Andy. With my last race of the season on Sunday Oct 17th being cancelled due to covid, I opted to run a virtual 10k on saturday which went really well for a solo time trial. Beat my old man PB by 2mins with a 48:25. Went really controlled first 5km, and then kicked it up on the turn around. 24:46 1st 5KM, 23:39 2nd 5KM. Definitely in sub 48min shape if I was chasing people.

Nice one Andy. I ran the Cheshire 10k on Saturday with slightly iffy achilles. I could feel it a bit but was on target to an all time PB so pushed on. Ballsed up grabbing water, knocking the water off table then having to run back. 3 min race PB (also better than any more resent time trail) - well pleased finishing at 5.40 pace which is a spirt for me.. Yesterday i walking like a gangster with a limp but it was worth it…😂

This was my most enjoyable race all year. I didn’t have a problem on the sand but agree the hills were challenging. The first 12km were all good with my target finishing time of 1.43 in hand however my endurance from that point onwards is poor and I slowed significantly after that to end up with 1.47 (slightly disappointing). I met you for the first time - at the race start - I shouted FOD runner and you gave me a fist bump. Great video and a mile by mile reliving of the course. Do you have any other planned events this year?
@TheFODRunner
2 жыл бұрын
Ah yes I remember! Glad you had a great day! Yeah the endurance was lacking a bit for me as well, especially now that my workouts are all shorter so I feel your pain there! I have a local race called the newent 9 on November 21st and then the Hereford 10k on 28th December
