This video is about post-exertional malaise (PEM), sometimes called crash. PEM refers to a worsening of symptoms after physical or mental exertion. The exertion does not have to be great, e.g. an intensive endurance training, but on the contrary can be subjectively perceived as small, e.g. something like personal hygiene or a phone call. Often this "worsening of condition after activity" is delayed by hours or days. PEM is the core symptom of the disease myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called chronic fatigue syndrome.
The video is from the German ME/CFS Society and Long COVID Germany. Experts from Charité Berlin and TU Munich supported us with this video. The QREATE agency supported us in the post-production.
