Wait. The new iPhones only charge to 80? Wtaf? Apple just stop making ur phones fast charge to the point of failure and you won't have to worry about that🙄 at least I don't have to consider going back anymore. But like.... I'd imagine hardcore apple fans would be incredibly aggregated if that was the case

They are actually giving you the real capacity, the batteries are 3.8/4.4v and must give 5v or more meaning they will use more mah than a higher voltage battery. Quite weird but actually all battery cases "lie" a fully charged 10.000mah battery will maybe give you 9000mah at 5v output if they are 3.8/4.4v, remember they will need to transform the voltage using more current in that.
@davidd2661
3 ай бұрын
Idk what's 3.8/4.4 Most li-ion batteries charge to 4.2 or 4.35v max. And their Vnominal is in the range of 3.6-3.7V Also watt-hours is watt-hours, since it's energy, independent of voltage.

If they do like that, they would need a voltage regulator inside the visor. And voltage regulator produce pretty much heat.. And regarding to teardown video, avp’s battery seems like doesn’t has a voltage boost up regulator inside a battery pack.

@RunForPeace-hk1cu Untrue. USB-C PD supports a variety of voltages. Apple's own USB-C 96W power adapter is rated for 5, 9 12, 15, 18 and 20V. 96W being achievable at 20V 4.8A. My Anker 737 powerbank supports 140W output at 20V 5A - with 86kWh of capacity and costed me half of what Apple charges for the Vision Pro powerbank So no, there is no technical reason for Apple to not support USB-C PD with the Vision Pro other than to sell overpriced battery packs

@__flynrailer3904 I didn't say it should use 20V, I said there is no reason for the Apple Vision not to use USB PD since it could use any of those voltages. And most laptops actually use 20V (like the macbook...) or more depending on the power of the laptop. Gaming laptops that use USB-C even use 28, 46 or 48V as USB-C PD standard has a limit of 5A, so to increase the power, increasing voltage is needed - BUT THIS ISN'T THE POINT, we are talking about the Apple Vision
