Marcus and Terry, I have been listening to you guys off and on for the last year and a half. Even when I was drinking, drunk or hungover. Now I am sober for 24 days and I still feel that your channel and discussions are very helpful to me and my sobriety. I really resonate to your story and I too am a business owner, mother ect that almost lost it all in a drunken/depressive/anxiety ridden life. I feel awesome now!! I always talk about your channel and posts with my counselors, group and other peers!! Thank you!! BTW love the shirt too!!

I remember watching your videos during the numerous times I tried getting off alcohol. I'm now 1 month away from 2 years sober off alcohol! AA didn't work. I went on to try different recreational drugs and realized that ultimately I just don't need them. Alcohol was by far the worst! My body went from soft and lazy looking to a nice fit physique. And I completely agree about alcohol getting a pass because it's socially accepted. But I've noticed after watching police chases, pull overs, arrests, etc... almost every arrest involves alcohol. The other day I was drinking redbull at a bar and some guy who says he's a nurse says, "that stuff will k%ll ya." Yet he was holding a vodka drink. That thing he's drinking nearly ended my life had I kept going. That's the world we live in. So glad you're still doing these videos!! God Bless!!

“I Don’t Drink Anymore” ~ Jason Aldean. Dangerous song for drinkers but I do love the message and the beauty.

I have a friend who is an RN mostly wirks in ICU. She said you would be amazed the people that have a heart attack or car accident that get withdrawl being in the hospital. She said between 5-15% if patients have a withdrawal, about half the time mild but noticable. The other half they pump some Valium into you. She said its an eye opener.

Pretty cool the dow jones metaphor as Life! I loved it, since I'm the kind of person who has a lot of trouble dealing with life in life's terms. Thank you, guys.

Great content but im not sure if I can agree that not being able to stop drinking is proof of strong willpower. Its chemical dependency. When you're drinking you're not using willpower. You might come up with clever ways to try to conceal it (which don't really work).

My fiance was sober for 1 year (before I met him). I asked him why he started drinking again. He said he didn't get what he expected to out of being sober. What did he mean? I asked him but he didn't tell me.

I like watching because I’m not sure I can identify an alcoholic, out right, in my life. I can only notice if I see them drinking and they get drunk. Unless of course they admit it.

my mom is an alcoholic. she wont admit it. she drinks for months at a time and goes with out eating. She goes from her room to the bathroom to the couch and that's it. She wont take care of herself at all and we cant get her to stop. We have called facilities and they wont take her in untill she wants in. She keeps saying im fine . She is 75 and very stubborn. I just want to help her and i dont know how 😢

@Rochelle Pratt I struggle daily with it which is why i watch and read so much. I just want her to get better . I do get anxiety over it and dont live as happy as i used to since she is aging and i know my days with her are not as many. My dad is at his end so I hurt seeing him so deflated as well. She is a bag of bones and wont eat or bath just keeps saying im fine ...and gets more pills or beer. I get mad and i even told her for the first time i was mad and now have guilt over saying im mad at you. Im scared...she fell and broke 9 ribs last x mas and had surgery. still no effort to change her ways. I dont know how im goin to continue watching her die infront of me each day but i dont know how to turn my back on her either. Ive thought of going to AA meetings its just my dad said when we were younger he went and he didn't find it helpful

I know this is an old post, but the book "Codependent No More" by Melody Beattie (sp.?) is excellent. It was printed first in the 80's, but is still very relevant today, imo-

I find CBD oil (without THC) very similar to a high quality magnesium supplement. In other words, it is more similar to a vitamin, rather than a drug. In fact, it is very good for inflammatory conditions. With less inflammation in the body, there is less pain inherently, because the condition of your body is actually improving. This is very unlike a pain pill, (like hydrocodone), that merely masks the pain and has addictive properties. Many alcoholics have too much inflammation in their bodies because of the alcohol itself. Ideally, you couple this with an anti- inflammatory diet. The American diet produces ten times the amount of a healthy diet, like a Mediterranean diet, for example. Right now, because the FDA has not approved CBD, there are lots of very low quality products on the market. Make sure your product has a decent amount of actual CBD, and is not just full of fillers as well-
