Thanks to videos like this Asheville has become an overcrowded cesspool of banksters and the very people that have ruined their prior communities and now are ready to cut down every tree, break up every acre and sell it off to the highest bidder. Let’s not pretend Asheville is anything like it used to be. I

So the thing is we don't do rentals, and no one in the area really represents a tenant- it's just not a thing. I can point you in the right direction, tell you more about the location/area/neighborhood, etc if you see something on one of the websites for rentals. But you'll have to go straight to the source (property manager, landlord), because they aren't going to talk to an agent. I recommend checking sites like www.forrent.comand tonsofrentals.com . There might not be much at any given day, but you just have to keep looking, because properties come and go quickly. For shorter term, try either Airbnb(most expensive), or www.furnishedfinder.com/ When you search, search by the whole county (Buncombe) instead of just Asheville and it will open up more properties. Be careful on Craigslist as there's a lot of scams out there. If you see something that catches your eye, let me know and I'll be happy to tell you more about the location. Reach out any time if you have any questions or need help!

Thanks for content..Can you please recommend newer communities, if any, for families with small children with good school ratings but somewhat affordable in today's market as start up single family or townhomes?

I can't legally "steer" you towards or away from certain types of areas/places/neighborhoods/etc. But I can tell you new(er) communities in the area. Unfortunately most of them have waitlists just to get into the next phase of construction. Look up DR Horton in the area - it's probably going to be the most affordable new construction, or the most what you can get for the money. email me and we can chat some more about it. elenakovrigin@gmail.com

Where do you and don't you smell the paper mill and how bad is it actually?
@livinginashevillenc

It all depends on…wind, terrain…we have clients buy a house in Clyde and it was 5 minutes from paper mill. No smell. But sometimes you can smell it in the farthest corner of Candler. I’d say closest to downtown Canton is not safe

@@gracealleman4102 , come visit and you’ll see . All you have to do is drive down some roads and downtown and you’ll see all the trash around and the panhandlers are on almost every street corner. They are overflowing at gas stations and as soon as you get out of your car to go inside, you’ll be approached by at least one if not two or three wanting money . This lady clearly has not lived here long.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using "old" in a description. Vintage makes it seem out of date. So they both say the sane thing. just depends on who is reading it
