This is great. I have been told to substitute the ordinary yoghurt ith Bulgarian Yoghurt. I glad I found this KZitem channel. May I ask why it wasnt successful in Africa?

Hi Paida! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. The main reason why it did not work in Africa was the climate and when I said it was not successful I meant that the live culture would work only once or twice. After this you would need to refresh the live culture (do you understand what I mean?). Is there a Bulgarian shop somewhere in the city where you live? When I was in Ireland there were several shops. So, if there is a shop you can replace your live culture when it stops to working.

Bulgarian yoghurt is best in the world for two reasons, the probiotic Lacto.Bulgaricus, and since the milk is fermented for a full 12 hours the amount of probiotics is three times as much as in regular yoghurts I make Bulgarian yoghurt every 7-10 days

So I was wondering do you let your yogurt ferment 12 hours not 5 like the video and the refrigerate?

Is it possible to make the yogurt with raw milk without boiling the milk?
@violetflame13

No. You have to boil the milk and add the culture when it cools down. I have explained in the video.

@@violetflame13 I understood that part but my question was what would happen if I didn't

The culture should be added only when the milk is warm... and if the temperature of the milk its not right, then its not going to work.

@@TheVarna1989it’ll be a mess 😂 There are 2 reasons to boil raw milk for this kind of culturing. One is to control the natural bacteria found in raw milk which will otherwise fight off the culture. Second is to change the protein formation, this helps with the thickness of the yogurt. If you want to preserve the raw milk benefits, culture your milk with kefir. If you want yogurt, the best option is to boil the raw milk. Boiled raw milk is still better than store bought milk. Best of luck! Homemade yogurt is the best😊

The Bulgarian yoghurt provides more health benefits, other than that it's a matter of taste.

Greek Yoghurt tastes mild but does not have the same cultures and compared to it, Bulgarian yoghurt is more beneficial to the health.
