Thanks for doing Sheogorath some justice. He is a true genius, but his madness is handled so well by the writers. I can think of a lot of bipolar or driven scientists that completely ruined their own lives, but I'm bad with names. Also, if you're a true innovator, you need to be a little crazy. After all you believe in things being possible that others don't believe in. My favorite example was a guy on the caliphate of Al Andaluz. He was the first guy in recorded history to build a glider and jump off the highest tower to climb. He broke both his legs but survived an otherwise deadly height. It took over half a millenia for the next person to try! Also, the brothers Wright were not the first with a successful motorized flight. That honor goes to an American of German descent, but he wasn't good with people and the others had tied to big newspapers... They were scummy enough to take a picture from a failed attempt to prove that they flew first, but it was just jumping on the ground and AFAIK they had to change the date back too, while their competition was already actually flying! (as confirmed by a few witnesses, a photo and a local newspaper article which has been nearly forgotten).

Sheogorath is a prime example of why you should never have anything to do with a Daedra. In his previous form, the other princes we're jealous and fearful of his power so they changed him into exactly what he hates. Now, in his current form, he's not only messing with Mortals but the other princes at the expense of Mortals. Now finally to rid himself of his other half, he humiliated Jyggalag and basically took over the hero of Kvatch's body. Sheogorath is the curse of madness personified. Genious is a bit of a side effect.

The line between madness and genius is very thin and since Sheogorath embodies madness you could say you could also say that he embodies intelligence or that he’s the most intelligent entity in the elder scrolls franchise. Madness isn’t exactly as one-sided as some would assume madness comes in many different colors and flavors even more so than a rainbow in fact in some debatable instances genius could be considered a strain of madness could say that creativity was born from the madness that this isn’t entirely good or evil it is just that madness but it is also not madness brings logic in the logic phone is a mix between the two and it is and is not order and chaos to understand madness one must already be mad or at least be open minded beyond most logical Humans. One thing that fascinates me about this character is that he challenge is the very definition of madness and makes us reconsider a lot of things in our original opinions and well everything for he basically challenges the idea of what we do and do not believe as well as our own perspective as well as the very barriers between sanity and insanity.

@Prime Aggravator Well, from what I have gathered, CHIM means pride, arrogancy, to care only for oneself. AMARANTH (Godhead) is the opposite, to care so little for one self that you are willing to give up every power you have, your identity, everything, I don't know WHY you would want to achieve AMARANTH. I guess I should just stick with CHIM. Edit: So I don't know if Vivec really would become the Godhead, I don't think he is willing to give up all that he is, then again, Vivec is far more chill that Tiber Septim for example. Maybe after meditating so much he realized that AMARANTH is cool? The only problem is that when you become a Godhead you begin a new dream INSIDE the one that already was, so Elder Scrolls wouldn't have happened. However I'm not sure about that, so don't quote me on it.

Hey Avarti! I have a suggestion for a Skyrim Speculation video, the Bloodskal Clan of Solstheim! I want to see what you can come up with about them! Mostly how they, and their clan leader, Zahkriisos, would've interacted with the Dragon Cult, why they Worshipped Hermaeus Mora, created their signature blade, and, most importantly, are they still around, or is their clan truly extinct? If I were Zahkriisos, I don't think I'd like to get my clan caught up in my battles, but i want to see what you come up with^^

Why can't Aedra, Daedra, Sithis, and Anui-el gain the power of CHIM and the power of a Dreamer while mortals can? Mortals are either decendedents or creations of the Aedra and Daedra, while the Aedra & Daedra themselves are creations of Anui-el and Sithis why can't these entities gain these hyper strength powers that Mortals like Talos can? it makes no sense because surely how Daedra and Aedra may view us as mortals, Anui-el and Sithis may consider Aedra & Daedra as mortals from their point of view because they are far more powerful then the Aedra like Magnus and AKA/Akatosh and Daedra like Jyggalag and probably Lorkan if you him a Daedra since he was created by Sithis.

But are they actually unable to achieve CHIM? There's nothing that says they can't. Talos and Vivec both are Gods in a way, and some have suggested that Sheogorath actually achieved CHIM as well.

In my Skyrim fanfic, the Dragonborn meets Sheogorath in his own mind rather than that of Pelagius, dropping subtle hints and clues to their past, as Sheo (aka the Hero of Kvatch) was technically the one responsible for making the new chapter of the Elder Scrolls (Martin Septim’s quote), hero to hero.

genius and sanity can coexist but they not relative. the lack of sanity is actually a massive advantage seeing as one who has a twisted outlook can make so many out-of-the-box things happen.

There's a fine line between madness and genius. Sometimes, both intermingle. Sheogorath's genius is best observed in his interactions with other deadric prices. He loves to challenge them at their own specialty and frequently wins. The two most noteworthy instances is the duel of beasts with hircine and the competition over an artist's soul with vermina. You should definitely look into these stories. They very much confirm uncle Shep's genius.

I think that’s why Sheogorath is the only ally of Ebon Arm. He knows who the unknown warrior-patron once was. Reman Cyrodiil. Cause of Uncle Sheo’s knowledge of the universe when he was just Juggalag. At least in theory I believe it to be the reason.

To say Sheogorath is an idiot is... madness. All a person has to do is look up lore for the Madgod to see just how smart he is. There are numerous cases where Sheogorath has shown his genius. For example, Sheogorath challenged Hircine to a game of beast making, and made a raven that tricked Hircine's hulking beast into killing itself. Another instance is where he claimed he'd try his best to make someone go mad, and did nothing. And it worked. And then, he also tricked Malacath into killing one of his own children. Sheogorath may be mad, but he's far from stupid.
