Some small corrections: 6:33 "This triangle over here [...] is actually a similar triangle to the one we started over here with" - This example is a bit misleading, specially for the z² geometry - in general, triangle from 0, Re(z²), z² won't be similar to the one from 0, Re(z) and z. (There is another similar triangle, which is formed by 0, z and z², but it only works here because Re(z) = 1 - so actually, it's similar to the triangle 0, 1, z, which is usually not an orthogonal one.) The general formula of |z²| = |z| and arg(z²) = 2·arg(z) is still valid, though. 8:52 "the real component scales [...], and the imaginary component rotates" should be "the modulus scales, and the argument rotates". (The argumentation following on this actually used the right version.)

We are not getting twice as small in z-¹, but we are taking the reciprocal of 2(2-¹:1/2), as z-¹ is the reciprocal of z

Am I getting forgetful, or is this not how I learnt this? It is a little misleading saying squaring a complex number doubles the modulus isn't it, only this case as coincidence of having modulus of 2. Same situation as z^-1. |z^n| = |z|^n, arg(z^n) = n(argz)

Complex analysis student here. Squaring a complex number doubles the angle and squares the modulus. So if a complex number z has modulus 2 and Arg -π/3, then z² would have modulus 2²=4 and Arg (2×-π/3)=-2π/3.

First of all, the letters are e and f not f and g. Second of all, shouldn't b² be equivalent to (-√(3)i)² not (√(3)i)²?
