I have lived in that scarcity mindset for 7 years. I still don't know how to be normal. Hearing from everyone around to give it your 110% all the time (societal pressure). My brain resisted this. I go in isolation, make up my mind and keep pushing with zero absorption of what I was doing. End of the day, I'd feel so impersonal about the efforts and go detach from the work required. I go to deliberately wasting more time calling it relaxation but no. Later feel horrible about it. i believe that our school system is so ingrained in us. We need guardrails to help us throughout life after high school.. Else we don't know what we're doing.. We need that kind of validation to make progress.

Great video Akta! I’ve also been very obsessed lately about the concept of non-neediness. Once we do not need anything more than what we experience right now, we get this leverage and inner power And then somehow everything happens I will probably base the rest of my life on non-neediness since it opens so many doors. Out of every productivity strategies, non-neediness is by far the most impactful

I always try to hard and it’s not ok. This few days I am thinking maybe I need to make videos every next day and finally get a result then I said to myself Anna calm down just enjoy this is not gonna be the same as your all goals. I don’t know how to live, only thing I am good at that’s pushing myself to learn pretending that I am “improving”.

Another amazing and super-helpful video! Your every video is literally about every little thing that I struggle with, and I always thought that I was alone in that, but it seems like it's a pretty common problem, the majority of people just don't talk about it. Thank you so so much! Awesome content♥

"Knowing when action is no longer needed" In the period of my life where I no longer have energy to worry, I'm finding advice like this. You explained what I was thinking, but was afraid to admit. Like the thing about when you stop trying, something happens. Sometimes it is hard to move past a certain point. I love your editing style, it makes me want to watch more of your videos.

"You shouldn't force things"❤........I try not to but I still compare myself with people who are EARLY BLOOMERS or are KZitemrs (bc that's what I wanna do in my life)......and all this comparison just makes me more and more depressed........it feels like I'm a loser, haven't done anything "big" in my life but what I learned by looking at my life is that things happen when they are meant to.......I know late success sucks but it makes you realize what's important in your life and what's not

Nicely produced and good food for thought. The video itself feels like it comes from a place of wu wei. I'd also add the importance of the idea of non-linear returns on effort. It's usually more important to just improve and do something at a substantial but sustainable pace than chase diminishing returns. Depends a lot on domain though.

Loved this video, exactly what I needed. I didn't realise that I've been trying way too hard. I always did better when i stopped trying too hard and that was pretty confusing, especially since trying hard is seen as a good thing. The friends example resonates with me the most. Thanks for the video ❤

Hey Akta. I think this is my favourite of your videos to date as it feels like a great reminder of certain things like numbers don’t matter, and for me personally, that much of my work and current passions lately have come from spontaneity and experimenting, rather than forcing myself to do things. I also no longer pressure myself to make friends, as another example, as I know now things like that could happen at any time, and that overthinking only leads to awkwardness. So thank you for sharing this. Much appreciated. 😊

Thanks so much Nia!! I think the best advice I could give is learning to differentiate between your voice and that of others - once your own voice / thoughts are stronger, it’s easier to trust your intuition because you know it’s come from you :)

I tend to agree with the overall point of the video. However, I do not think your channel started growing because you started trying less hard (as you put it) - I guess the underlying assumption here would be that the quality of your videos, i.e., the ability to attract viewers, is negatively correlated with "how much you try". Rather, I think the payoff from the hard work you put into your previous videos just comes with a delay :)
@Akta
Жыл бұрын
This is very true as well, there was payoff! But also the videos that did really well to make my channel grow were ones I didn’t obsess over! The ones I obsessed over haven’t done as well :)

I am trying so hard to understand this video, I really don't understand the concept. I watched it, re-watched it.. and Wow.. I usually understand your videos and then I research even more on the topics, but this one.. It's just hard to understand. Example: Jeff Bezo's Amazon in it's infancy, was just not doing well, the employees did not get many day-offs, the books that were supposed to be sent out to the buyers...yeah they got it after months. As there were many book orders to sort through and few hands. So, if you apply, '85% rule', wouldn't that mean those books would be sent out even later than usual?
@Akta
Жыл бұрын
We can’t look at that example and say whether they were giving 85% or not though, only an individual knows how hard they’re trying and when they’re trying too hard :)
