When I was diagnosed with lung cancer, I was going to a Medical College for treatment. I had to have a PIC line put in my vein that leads to my vena cava. The older nurse put the tube in my upper arm and led in through until she felt it was the perfect position. Their was a very young student nurse with us. Maybe 19 years old. The older nurse had to then use the sonagram thingy to see if it was in the proper place. The jel she used she had to smear around my collar bone/upper chest area and it was kinda creamy white. I kinda giggled and said "That looks like a 'Pearl Necklace'.."..the older nurse laughed, and about that time the young student nurse asked "What is a Pearl Necklace?" OMG!. The older nurse and I cracked up laughing. I asked her if we should explain it to her and she said, she gonna be a Nurse, she's gonna have a lot of new things to learn...lol...so we explained it to her..lol...✌❤🤘
