Can’t thank you enough for sharing your experience. I’ve been on the carnivore diet for 2 weeks and the last few days have been so hard. I’m so weak that if I’m getting ready to go out I have to sit down every so often. The thought of meat almost makes me sick. I’m hoping and praying that, like you, a switch will flip and I’ll feel better. I’m sure it’s withdrawal. Oh how I loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, ice cream, chocolate anything and so want these things. I’ve lost 12 lbs thus far and am fighting to not stop this diet. Anyone reading this, please keep me in your prayers. 🤗 Thanks!

This gentleman gave some great advice. I am literally starting on my first carnivore journey today, however I have done multiple long term water fasts previously - one for 50 days and another for 55 days and the things your body will go through will be very similar as it purges all the crap that you have been putting into it for 20, 30, 40+ years. When I did my first 50 day water fast I had not intended to go that long....I had no idea what length of time I'd do it. Maybe a day. Maybe 2. Maybe a week...who knew? I remember getting through day one and it was agony not eating a bite of food, and it was all I could do to just get to bed time so that I could fall asleep and forget I was "hungry". Then day 2 came by and it was worse and I swore I had quit two or three times during that day. However I had thrown out all the food in my house, and to be honest I had no energy to even go out to get something to eat so I had an all out internal war with myself between forcing myself to leave the house to get food, and forcing myself to stay and see this thing through. I had read enough about water fasts to know that getting past day 4 or 5 was absolutely vital - the first 3 days the very first time you do this was going to be hell on earth. I had read that when you don't eat those first three days and you THINK your hungry...you're NOT HUNGRY. Your body is going through glycogen withdrawal as you have stopped consuming all sugars and carbohydrates, and your body is used to converting glycogen directly into energy because of the North American carb diet most of us have lived on all our lives. That pain wasn't hunger pains....it was literally the same pain as an addict goes through with a heroin or fentanyl withdrawl. And I'm telling everybody here who reads this that if this is the first time you do a carnivore diet it will feel exactly the same as I described and exactly the same as the gent who uploaded this video described. ITS NOT HUNGER....ITS WITHDRAWAL. After day 3 and into day for all of a sudden the pain sort of drifted away. Day 5 got better. And then through to day 8 it was easy. I found things got tough on Day 9 and 10 but the biggest thing I hated was the taste of water....the taste of water was not just boring as hell but it started to taste like crap. Drinking water only was the hardest thing about the fast because it started tasting metallic at times. But I had made a huge mistake which the video uploader here addressed...I WAS NOT TAKING ANY ELECTROLYTES WITH MY WATER CONSUMPTION. The water fast transitions is no different than doing this carnivore diet....a water fast is just simply a more extreme version of fast than carnivore. I had enough fat on me to give my body the energy it needed without ingesting any food (I was a good 80 lbs overweight). I managed to get to 50 days the first time until I couldn't drink only water anymore. I didn't quit out of hunger...it was out of boredom. The second time I made it to 55 days I didn't have the same withdrawal over the first 5 days because my previous fast already purged most of the crap out of my system. However I still didn't even think about electrolytes...the thought had not occurred to me and I had not read about them. I quit the second fast after 55 days not because I was struggling with the fast, but rather I started developing the occasional lesion on my shins which signaled to me that my body wasn't getting some kind of nutrition it needed so I stopped it. I didn't realize until later that I should have been drinking electrolytes with my water consumption and I'd bet $1M I could make it to 100 days or down to a 10% BMI no problem. But now I'd learned about the carnivore diet and I think it will give very similar results but won't be at all the same struggle. But it is vital to a) CONSUME ELECTROLYTES IN YOUR WATER. Not only is it imperative for your health, but it also adds flavor to water relieving some of the boredom of the limited drink choices; b) expect the first time to go through pain for the first 4 or 5 days until all the glucose is purged from your system. YOU'RE NOT HUNGRY - YOUR BODY IS PURGING. I promise you that if you get to day 5 it will all get better. Make that your do or die goal....get to day 5. When you do you won't regret it because the whole diet will get easier.

It takes some time for the body to switch from glucose metabolism to fat. Two weeks seems a bit long, but your mileage may vary. Your insulin might have been very high. I was sloppy keto for a year before carnivore and was just great switching.

@@cleanqueen75 I mean yeah meat is expensive but it's also very filling. You can buy $40-60 of meat and it'll feed you all week. You can customize it if you want and add in veggies or carbs. Just try to stay away from processed garbage and sugar. Anything that'll spike your insulin and break your metabolism.

@@Jst4vdeos I only eat pork tenderloin, seafood and chicken. I rarely eat beef. A carnivore diet is high in red meat and some studies have shown that high red meat intake may increase the risk of breast cancer, colon cancer and heart disease. My mom and dad both passed away from colon cancer. I have high cholesterol so another reason I watch what I eat.

Yrs ago, I would buy fried chicken and be munching on it all day, cause don't like to cook. Had ❤ attac in 04. It's not that 🐔 was fried, it's wut it was fried in. There r good fats & bad fats. BAD FATS; canned bottled processed hydrogenated oils, & margarine cause it has this in it. GOOD FATS; bacon, tallow, butter, any natural fats are good for you. Dr. Ken Berry has this question; is there a link between ppl lowering their cholesterol & the # of ppl rising getting Alzheimer's? Because THE BRAIN IS MOSTLY MADE UP OF CHOLESTEROL. ...y starve the brain of what it needs?

56, keto first for 3½ yrs then FINALLY the carnivore plunge. I'm 5'6" and started at 256lbs. I was down 85 lbs in the first 4 months of keto. Then I became "dirty"keto...added lots of manufactured keto snacks and such and just maintained at about 160lbs the remainder of the 3 yrs keto. Once carnivore i blossomed! My extra skin began going away!! My eczema vanished! 25 more pounds just dwindled away. I am steady at 133lbs now. I didnt weight 135 when I became pregnant with my first child at 18 years old for Pete's sake!! I dont think I could have gone straight carnivore directly from a S.A.D. ill never know...but 2 weeks wirhdrawal would have been rough. My weakness from fat adapting happened in 3 full days...then I went into ketosis and never looked back. You are lucky that you've discovered this so young. 😁 Truly. Be grateful young man and Congratulations from my heart. ❤

There are any number of ways to lose lose weight. Only eating fatty red meat is a dangerous thing to do. Hundreds of brilliant medical scientists studying nutrition over decades and decades, have reached at least one irrefutable conclusion. It should be obvious to anyone with half a brain, but I’ll say it anyway. Eating amounts of fatty meat leads to atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries causing high blood pressure, and also cardiac disease leading to heart attacks. Both high blood pressure and cardiac disease can cause strokes to. Don’t be a fool. Keep the carnivore diet in your rearview mirror.

I think the science supporting your statements might be in the rearview mirror. It's been disproven that cholesterol is the cause of heart disease. Metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance are likely more to blame.

I have followed the dietitian Steven Gundry for the past several years; lost about 50 pounds from his dietary advice after a heavy eating phase I went through, and when trying to enter the carnivore diet myself, I learned from him that sweet potatoes for soluble fiber or resistance starch, and definitely avocados are helping me with the carnivore diet. I am adapting it to my own needs all the same, after feeling a difference and some benefit eating meat cuts from my favorite pasture raised meat vendor in San Diego where I live.

2 weeks in and I’m struggling to eat enough. Nothing sounds good. My husband is worried because he’s never seen me eat so little. I’ve used LMNT from the beginning and redmans salt on everything. I’m eating beef, butter, salt and 1 small cup of coffee with a splash of cream. Occasionally I’ll add in a small thing of cheese but not often. I still have very low energy. I can’t go to sleep till around midnight but I do wake up around 7 every morning and feel rested. No brain fog or irritability just feel low of energy. Maybe I just need to keep pushing. I don’t want to add bacon or eggs just yet because I’m trying to heal from gut inflammation which brought on histamine reactions. Everytime I think ok I can’t do this, I just keep pushing. I’m so ready to get that energy you were describing after your first two weeks. 😔
