The infrasound in Paranormal Activity was pretty neat. No wonder the movie freaked me out because when you think about the storyline or the movie, as a whole, it's not scary at all. But I guess the infrasoumd helped with the suspense of the movie. It reminds me of The Blair Witch Project. Because it was such a low budget production, I doubt they used the infrasound, but while the movie wasn't scary and we never see the Blair Witch, the suspense was very high that it kept the audience on edge right up to the very end when Heather saw Josh standing in that corner and she screamed bloody murder. Btw, I know Ellie talked about Skinamarink but exactly why was it so scary to everyone? And does anyone know why it's called Skinamarink? It makes me think of that old children's show Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show where they used to sing the song Skinamarinky Dinky Dink at the end of the show.

The Silence of the Lambs use of POV wasn't just Lecter. It was most all of the men in the movie that Starling interacted with. If anything the scene with her boss in his office has the same discomfort and intensity as any Lecter scene.

It really puts you in Starling's mindset, where she is judged not only on her own merit but as a woman as well.

The lack of sound from the truck in Jeepers Creepers works because most of the time you're focused on Darry and Trisha, so you might not even notice it's there until the horn honks.

The bit about sound for Paranormal Activity makes sense. I didnt find the movie anxiety causing at all, but I also have tonal hearing loss and can't hear bass or high trebel. I bet that's why the sound didnt bug me.

I must admit Skinamarink was creepy but DO NOT WATCH IT IF YOU'RE SLEEPY. It is a slow burn, moving at a snail's pace, and you can easily just fall asleep to it if you're not careful. Of course, my shit attention span is most likely to blame for that (fvck you, ADHD 😂)

#1: It would've been helpful to lead off with the meaning of "ISO" for those of us who didn't have a clue as to what it meant and then showing how the director used it (with the comparison of where most other film makers would stop to avoid the "noise").

Lazy video making again, same movies over and over. All the horror movies made, vast amount you have never covered, yet you keep putting It Follows, The Invisible Man, Saw, Paranormal Activity and of course Scream(a franchise What Culture Horror would marry if they could). Boring, very boring. Dislike for the video once more.

There is little fundamental difference between the ending of It Follows, and a horror movie ending where the seemingly defeated monster jumps out for a final scare. It's just a cheap "OR IS IT?!?!?!!? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN! 😮" ending.
