Greeting from Southern California! I’ve missed your positivity and light ✨ So happy you are back to teaching and you doing well. Looking forward to some grounding, slower practices so I can release from the streas and uncertainty of the past year 🙏🏻

Hello lovely! I am soooooo happy to see you back on U-tube! You have made my morning with your radiant smile! I love the new hair! Your tips are so valuable. I use most of them already, but will have to develop the taste for GREEN allies! I do so want to do your Zoom classes, but have a commitment at that time on Sundays. Hopefully, in the future, I can work it out. You look amazing and happy and for that I am joyful! Much love! 🙏💚😍🌸🌟

Hi Thanks Anita, Yes. I have, according to Ayurvedic philosophy, a vata dosha. So, I relate. I was told by my local yoga teacher to use organic cold pressed sesame oil to massage myself. Knees, joints, which can play up when the weather changes. I find it soothing to do (even if it may or may not have any significant effect) And do not get me started/ stirred on 'windy days'. I am so sensitive! It just totally can throw me off...make me anxious. (I have/had an anxiety disorder - panic attacks the works). So, tricky. I do eat and Love spicy foods but I can suffer disruption in sleep. Spicy foods are not helpful. But I find if I can, bath before bed really works. I have a whole bedtime routine...esp in fall.

That’s great, Caitlin. I love reading everyone’s self are routines. I am vata too but even those who are not can be affected. I was told to warm up the oil but I rarely do that, and it still helps. I don’t know your age but when you enter peri/menopause you might feel muscle and joint pain as a symptom this is so helpful. Thank you for sharing 🙏💗

In April 2019, at the age of 53, I adopted a Ketogenic way of eating: I cut out ALL carbs and refined vegetable oils. Since then I have not only reversed pre-diabetes and NAFLD, but I have completely reset my immune system 😀 I used to catch EVERY respiratory virus that came my way... I used to get headaches all the time... I always had Paracetamol in my bag, as I was taking it at least twice a week... Since going Keto, I have not been sick even once!!! I have not had a single headache or sore throat!!! I can hardly remember what Paracetamol used to look like 😄 And of course I don't eat apples anymore... they are loaded with sugar!! I have cut out all fruits, except for avocados and olives. VIRUSES CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT SUGAR !!!

Great information Anita, I have been wanting to read that book for quite some time it looks like a really good book to read for autumn/fall. Also before I forget to tell you I highly recommend checking out Helen from Well With Hels she is also a yoga/fitness instructor but also talks about health and wisdom as well. I hope you have a good rest of your week and sending you lots love and warm hugs on a chilly fall day here in the northeastern USA. 🙏🧘♀️🍂🍁💨🤗❤️

Anita. Can I just say, I love your videos!!! Thank you so much for these gentle reminders. Do you recommend a specific brand of oils for the self-massage? I've tried to do this practice but just don't understand why you rinse off after the massage? Not only does it make your shower slippery, you lose all the wonderful oil on your body. Sny advise?
@AnitaGoaWellBeing

Hello Jill 👋 Thank you so much 🙏 I get what you are saying about the shower. I have a cleaning bottle/cloth available immediately after to wipe it down. I also have a dedicated robe and towels 😆 I also regularly add vinegar/baking soda to the drain. After it’s been on my body I take a quick shower (warm) just to wash armpits etc, then I turn it to cold. When I’m done I just tap myself dry. I like the softness it gives my skin. It never transfers to clothes. I get my Vata oil from a company here in England. The name is on the bottles in the video. It can be sesame or almond oil. In America I got it from a company called Banyan Botanicals. I hope this is helpful 🥰

@@AnitaGoaWellBeing I was also wondering: How on earth do you do Nadi Shodana while having the oil on? :D And have you found the practice having any long-term benefits on you?
