BATTLETOADS is a popular video game franchise that falls under the category I like to call “Anthropomorphic Badass Manimals.” It’s one of the many attempts to replicate the popularity of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Unfortunately, despite the 1991 NES game’s success, the 1992 cartoon pilot failed.
Please join me on this journey as I review the pilot and share some highlights from the still-living Battletoads fandom. The cartoon may have failed, but the Battletoads continue to survive!
Oh wait, I should be making toad puns. The cartoon croaked, but the Battletoads are still toadally toadacious!
Also, after thinking about it for way too long, I don’t think Megan Fox should have been April O’Neil in the TMNT live-action movies. No. I think there should have been a Battletoads movie with her as the Dark Queen. /hot take
Also also, there’s some audio clipping in this video. I thought I had it fixed, but sadly, it was not. In my new setup, the microphone is much closer to my face, so I needed to lower the input. And then I needed to lower it even more. I think I’ve got it now though. So the sound quality will be fixed for the next video.
Upcoming Videos:
-A way-too-long video about maybe one of the worst movies ever.
-A famous safety mascot, his most terrifying PSA, and the Mandela Effect.
