Growing fruit trees is all about experimentation, and what works in your particular climate. Here in California, it rains in winter so I put compost and manure at the base of all trees in January and the rain makes it soak in to the ground. This works awesome.

Man so cool! Cardboard down wood chips on top works wonders as well man worms go nuts for it.

You have a beautiful piece of heaven out there! I’m on a little 1/4 acre lot in suburbia so yeah, I’m a little jealous! We make it work though just on a much smaller scale. I took some footage of the garden but just haven’t had time to edit it yet. You will be shocked to see what chicken manure did for our peppers!
