Butter chicken, also known as Murgh Makhani, is a popular Indian dish known for its rich and creamy tomato-based curry.
Ingredients:
For Marination:
500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes pieces
1/2 lemon juice
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt (Salt to taste)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 table spoon coriander powder mix all let it rest for 15 - 30 mins
For the Curry:
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion,or 2 small finely chopped
12-15 chashews
2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1or 2 tablespoon red chili powder according to taste
1 cup tomato puree/ 2 tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
Salt to taste
Chopped cilantro or coriander/ butter / cream for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.for better outcome
Cook the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 200°C
Place the pan put oil 2 table spoon with butter 1 spoon until the chicken is cooked through. You can also grill or cook the chicken on a stovetop if you prefer.
Prepare the Curry:
In a large pan, heat butter and oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Stir in cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Cook for a 5 minute.
Add tomatoes and cook the mixture until the oil starts to separate after cooling down the the masala seive in seiver with adding nearly 1 cup of water for the masala.

Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
Crush the dried fenugreek leaves between your palms and add them to the curry. Season with salt.
Combine Chicken and Curry:
Add the baked or grilled chicken pieces to the curry. Simmer for 10-15 minutes on low heat, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve the butter chicken hot with naan or rice.
