That 18min felt like 5 min max. When you watching you get sucked in the footage and bam, o no don't want to see more 😂. The sneak for molding the side skirts good thumbnail.

Thanks! I've used that trick in the past to help bond metal brackets when making fiberglass bonnets. It definitely helps with the grab but also increases how much tidy up work you'll need to do on the other side. For these sideskirts you may have been able to tell but I wasn't massively fussed with longevity haha 😆 In the sneak peak at the end you'll spot that these plastic ones are already in the bin and have been replaced with fiberglass.

Again a highly interesting video! Car bumpers and side skirts are made of polypropylene these days, a notoriously difficult material to glue (or paint) on. Also since glass or carbon fiber is *much* stiffer than PP, they tend to separate even more readily. There are polypropylene fibers (Innegra is one) that would make much more durable fiber reinforcement patches.

Another good one. Can’t wait for the next one. The fiberglass patching on the bumper at the end. Fiberglass resin (polyester & epoxy) doesn’t stick to plastics. At least it won’t hold up long term.
