I can see why this didn't make it to the final cut BUT am I so happy to see this. I'm an unofficial musical theatre historian - who teaches youth. I share these kinds of anecdotes with my youth students. I've also directed "Damn Yankees" locally. These kinds of clips inform my work and I'm so glad I saw it. I've longed to know more about Rae Allen and Shannon Bolin and here's my lucky day!

I'm too young to remember Rae Allen's earlier stuff, but she was VERY memorable as the unemployment lady in Seinfeld.

Damn Yankees Is One Of My All Time Favorite Musicals. When I Was Young The TV Networks would Air The Movie Right At The Same Time That National Baseball Season Was About To Begin. The First Year It Aired My Dad Dragged Me Inside from Playing Baseball In Our Neighborhood To Watch The Show. I Feel In Love with It And never Missed A Subsequent Season Premier Of Damn Yankees Again. Cant Find The Movie Now I Guess Due to Copyright or Some Other Contractual Problem I Dont Know But What A Sad Thing To Deny The Public The Delight And Excellent Peeformaces Of These Fine Performers in One Of Broadway's Greatest Traditions. Not Just Of My Generation but My Grown Children And My Grandchildren And All Genrerations That Follow. Thank You For Posting The Cast Still Is Wonderful to This Day

The best guy I've ever seen play the devil was Vincent Price! Best evening of theater ever.

I saw Don Murray in Bus Stop with MM and he would have been great as the young man in Damn Yankees. Even so, Tab Hunter is also a good choice. Now Cary Grant as the Devil, I would like to see that very much but, still, Ray Walston is perfect for the role.

I am still amazed that they spent a fortune to get Tab Hunter at the height of his fame who was known as 'The American Adonis' and they put him in a sports movie with lots of scenes in locker rooms AND NEVER ONCE EVEN SHOWED HIM WITH HIS SHIRT OFF. We, however did get to see Ray Walston dancing around in his jockey shorts.

This is the first movie that made an impact on me. As a child I loved every thing about it.. but I hate baseball.

Always watched it when came on. Especially since it came on right before the baseball season began.

The girl with big breasts was Barbara Nichols who was very good in The Pajama Game film in a small part and very funny. I love these old clips with old stars - they bend the truth.

Saw Don Murray at Disneyland way back when. He, and I suppose we'er his sons were about 15 feet away from me on the steam locomotive. The smaller version. Due to his celebrity he sat in the engine compartment.

My mom grew up with Shannon Bolin in Maine. I don’t know how long they stayed in touch, though. They might have drifted apart after mom got married.
