As someone who frequently received these uncomfortably long, skin crawlingly creepy 'flirtatious encounters' from random men (who were ALWAYS between 5-15 years older than I was) from the time I was 14 until my mid-twenties. This video brought the memories flooding back. I bought fake wedding rings to wear to work. I didn't wear makeup. Always wore my hair in a ponytail or loose bun. As a pharmacy tech our uniform had a button up vest and a name tag for crying out loud! There are far more of these 'persistent' guys than most men realize. As much as things are getting better, women are still socialized to be polite, helpful, collaborative, and amiable. We're taught to consider other people's feelings before our own. Working in retail or customer service drills these traits into you further. You do what you can to make _suggestions_ that you're not available, such as wearing a fake 'wedding ring' or mentioning your real or imaginary significant other. But like others have said, there are always men who refuse to take rejection. I had one guy in his early 70s, who called my work so often just "ask me about my day" that _I got written up for it_ because his harassing calls interfered with our normal workflow. The old guy brought me a some kind of Smooth Jazz CD with a nude woman in shadows on the cover. When I refused his gift telling him that as pharmacy employees we aren't allowed to accept gifts of any kind as they can be considered 'bribes'. He 'forgot' the CD when he left. My coworkers had to screen all the incoming calls. When he hadn't heard my voice in 3-4 days he showed up at the pharmacy in person. When I arrived for my afternoon shift the cashier at the front of the store said my "boyfriend" had been by an hour earlier looking for me and said he'd be back later. I kept my cool. Gave him back his CD. Told him that his continued unwanted attention was causing issues for me with my supervisor. I had no problem helping him with anything pharmacy related but I could not engage in casual conversations with him while I was working. He apologized and left. I got written up again because the panic attack I had immediately in my car immediately after that encounter took longer than the 15-minute 'break' I was allowed. He left a voicemail once on the pharmacy voicemail system that had maybe 15 seconds of audio from a Michael Bublé song and then the old man saying, with a creepy and unnatural southern drawl, "I've gotta you under my skin, honey." That old guy is just one of literally dozens like him. Let me be clear, I'm not even a knockout/bombshell. I've always been somewhat overweight. I'm definitely average looking without makeup (how I am 99% of the time) but when I want to put in the effort, I 'clean up' pretty well. Moral of the story: Dropping the complement and running away is completely acceptable (and preferable) in most cases.

The older guys are always such creeps, I know how you feel, I used to get that crap working retail too. what impresses me is how he can still talk to her while she gives him the most violently deadpan expression i've ever seen in my life. Amazing. How to become that atomically dense? they could build reactor casings out of him.

@@heckingbamboozled8097 I honestly need those kinds of classes ur talking about, as well as a full comprehensive guide on when I should reveal what about the various facets of my personality. I genuinely felt awful for this guy, since I'm currently going through his exact situation, with a twist. I honestly feel like I need to get a girlfriend before I become famous because if I'm still single by then, women will never ever love me for me, and they'll only want to marry me to then divorce me and take half of my money, and if I resist, Johnny Depp (physically and emotionally assault me and then publicly sue me for all I've got for physically and emotionally assaulting her) me and absolutely destroy my life. I was born with ADD, ADHD, and a "lucky strain" of Autism (Asperger's) that enhanced my mind instead of turning me into a vegetable. I grew up with no real friends, and I could only trust and talk to myself. Then I became incredibly smart, knowing the nature of human beings and how we're hardwired to serve ourselves, even if we help others, and now I'm cursed with this unshakeable outlook. I wish I could say that I was just a mindless mysoginist, because then it would be possible for me to change for the better alone. Btw, I already copied this comment and took it to Reddit.

This is what happens when you watch and read too many “how to be alpha and not be beta videos” and “signs she likes you” it makes you insecure and not yourself. Here are some of my lessons with rejection. 1. If your already developing feelings for a girl, immediately take the chances and opportunity to start a conversation, be friends with her at an appropriate time. If you notice that she’s not interested in all the conversations your having or she gives you an answer which is no, then move on confidently being yourself. Don’t take time for granted if your developing feelings for a girl, girls can lose interest very quick if you don’t do anything just go up, talk to her and be yourself pretty much it. You don’t want to be the type of guy that does nothing but stare at her and develop these feelings and fantasies that will eventually come crashing down at you when she says no. Don’t fantasize too much, that’s when you waste time. 2. Don’t bottle up your emotions and throw throw them at the girl. Can you imagine if you straight up told her confidently or awkwardly to a girl that you’ve been having feelings for her for so long yet you never talked to her, never had a conversation, never flirted, that’s weird af. It’s like some random ass person throwing coffee at your face and your like “ayo wtf was that.” Start as friends and just go from there, no need to over complicate things. And stop fearing all the possible rejections that can happen “oh what if she tells everyone, oh what if she looks at me this what if that” like bro stfu how do you that’s going to happen. If she does just ignore it and focus on your life and goals, and everyone else will forget it. This is why we gotta get rid of these alpha male strategy videos on KZitem. They give these great advices but with this whole “MaTheMatical PrOcESS” on getting a girlfriend. Bro here’s the key: 1. Be yourself 2. Be healthy. That’s it. Stop watching these videos. If you want to keep watching them, take them with a TINY TINY piece of salt. I hope everyone is great and living their best lives.

I used to work for a licensed Starbucks, and there was this older man who would always walk around the store and talk to all the female employees. Eventually he started coming up to me and try to talk to me, and whenever I had a line he would stand and wait on the side while I helped customers. I hated this more than words can describe. Plus he would always try and bring me things (I refused but he would leave anyway) and asked me to go get coffee with him - Bear in mind, I was stuck in my department and if I walked away I couldn’t do my job - after I said no, he came in the next day and slammed his hands on the counter and raised his voice at me “since you won’t go and get coffee with me, can I at least get one now!?” I have transferred to at least two different stores because my job has changed, and somehow he has found me each time. Last weekend he showed up looking for me after calling multiple stores. He left me some books, but my heart sank when I saw him - I ran the opposite way into the offices. I was running the store that day covering for my boss, so I had another male coworker tell me when he left because I was hiding in the back. It sucks, but moral of the story: don’t flirt or harass people in customer service, it’s pathetic because not only are you distracting workers from doing their jobs but you’re just making them far more uncomfortable in a place that they go to every day to make their money.👏

When you ask her the first two questions and notice that she's not very attentive, i.e. doesn't elaborate at all, just ask her "you're not really interested in having a conversation, are ya?". She'll likely respond "no", to which you say "fair enough, I won't bother you, have a lovely day" and walk away. It's really that simple.

In my world, if you're in doubt, asking if someone doesn't want to have a conversation and politely wishing them a good day is something to be expected, but again, maybe it's a cultural difference. From experience, I can say that some people are very introverted and shy, so it takes a while for them to open up. They don't necessarily want you to leave even when they don't seem very talkative at first, it's actually quite common. Simply checking if a girl is interested in talking with you isn't an assault.

The thing with flirting is, it's all about reading the other person. You shoot your shot, and if you miss you move on. This man missed, and proceeded to unload a double drum magazine and wasn't even close to landing a single shot. He missed so bad he shot at the broad side of a barn and hit the next barn over, and he somehow didn't realize how disinterested she was. From my experience, the best thing you can do is just chat and maybe get some form of communication with them and try to develop a friendship first. 99% of the time just walking up to someone and flirting with them is just gonna shock them and then weird them out. Play the slow game with multiple people at once and you'll have more success, and likely make friends out of your failures.

You are 100% right. Many people don't feel comfortable flirting with strangers, it's natural. It's especially bad in this situation because hitting on someone who's working... she can't walk away from the interaction, and since her job is Customer Service she also needs to try to stay polite and patient.

Even better advice: Don't treat it like a "game". It's not a game, it's building a relationship. Calling it a "slow game" makes it sound like you're still not there to treat them like an actual person with their own goals and desires.
