Thanks again to all our supporters and donors who make all our films possible, as a kid I grew up watching 'cowboy and Indian' movies, but I always felt that the native stories were not being told and if they were - they were being told falsely, so It became my dream to one day make my own native films and tell the story more authentically. So I am happy to share my dream with you (which is only possible thanks to your donations - therefore we are only limited by what we can do - based on the donations received), also bear in mind that I have no formal training in filmmaking whatsoever, I am an amateur Director (learning and improving with hands-on experience - as all Directors do), I just woke up one day 2 years ago and said I am going to start making native films (because technology is readily available and affordable now so anyone can do it). If you do your own research, you will see that several films have won International awards - and were all made with just a Go-Pro camera - as I am doing. The only advantage/edge I have over everyone else in the Caribbean Region is that I have built up 22 years of regional indigenous contacts and allies (from my 16 years of voluntary work on the American Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples - the 2nd most important Indigenous Rights Declaration in existence, second only to the UN declaration) as one of 3 regular members of the Caribbean Indigenous Caucus in the Hemispheric Indigenous Peoples Working Group at the Organization of American States) - which gives me access to the native communities - and a degree of cooperation - far easier than most others coming from outside hoping to do any filming among them.
