Delbert is great. I'm pretty sure if you like Delbert, you would really enjoy a band called The Fabulous Thunderbirds, led by Stevie Ray Vaughn's brother Jimmie. They had several big hits, but I'd start with a song called Tuff Enuff.

Delbert is a Lubbock, Texas native (Buddy Holly country). Delbert taught John Lennon how to play Harmonica. That's how Lennon ended up playing it on the Beatles' "Love Me Do". He also wrote Emmylou Harris' hit "Two More Bottles Of Wine"

Delbert McClinton was born in Lubbock,Texas & moved to Ft. Worth when he was 11 years old. In 1958-60 he worked in a bar band called The Straightjackets who were the backing band for Howlin’ Wolf, Lightnin’ Hopkins & Jimmy Reed when they came through town. He’s a Texas Blues & soul rocker, he’s been dubbed the godfather of Americana music. (fyi, Delbert himself plays the harmonica on this song.)

I’m not usually one to say, you gotta see the live version because I know it sometimes creates another copyright hurdle, but Delbert’s definitely worthy of that be it Givin It Up For Your Love or Shaky Ground. Dude is so good.

Huh. I rememberr Delbert as the musical guest on an early episode of "Saturday Night Live", back when SNL (aside from the running gag about having the Beatles reunite) was trying to avoid the basic commercialism of The Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's Rock Concert and elevate lesser-known artists. I honestly don't remember loving it so much. Of course, this was 47 or so years ago. I guess I could have checked him out again sooner. I'll try to get back to you before 2070, okay, Delb?

Hey Guys, only just discovered your channel. I've watched a couple of your videos and may I say it's an absolute joy to watch the genuine emotional reactions you have to some of these artists that are new to you, and completely different from what you would have normally listened to. And as a 55 year old British guy, and it seems that a lot of the stuff you're discovering is the soundtrack to my childhood. Your style of Reaction Videos are unique, in as far as most of the reactions you give are visual. You rarely hit pause. And that's clearly because you are too distracted by the music you are listening to. But that's what I like about your channel. You don't have huge egos and want to talk constantly and I can listen to some wonderful music and "watch" your honest reaction in your faces. And you know when Amber closes her eyes she is giving 100% of herself to the music at that moment. And on top of all that you both seem like genuinely nice and likeable people! I look forward to catching up on all of your content! A Like, a Sub, and best wishes to you both!
