Thank you. And much fortune on the exam. I know you can definitely pass and if I can help with any resources please let me know. I just started practicum for BCBA in January so I have a ways to go but, I'd definitely like to hear about your experience taking the exam. Thanks for all the support and I'm wishing you well with the BCBA exam.

Hi Tanisha. Thank you and I hope you are doing well. My program is 4 years. The reason why I have been able to progress through so quickly is because I had 15 hours transferred in from my counseling program. Also, I took 15 hours my first semester, 9 hours in the summer and then 18 hours my last semester. I took 13 this semester so that will put me at 70 hours at the end of the semester. Our program is 92 hours and 12 hours of that is dissertation. I started a semester after the majority of my cohort so I wanted to catch up to everyone lol. Its very doable just have to take extra courses at the beginning. And I liked it because my cohort was very helpful. Please let me know what other questions you have. Good to hear from you.

So after two tries if you don’t pass you can not get your masters degree ? 😮

Right. I'm not sure if they allow students to reapply to the program after some time but, if a student doesn't pass after the second time, they'll be removed. Please let me know what other questions you may have.

Ya know what would be cool, if we could take some kind of Praxis test tool (even if we paid for it) so we can feel better going in to the real thing G. Because, “two tests, then STRIKE!! You’re out!” Is totally not stressful at all 😂

Hi friend, I have a question. What are comp exams like? How would you describe the exam? What are some ways to prepare? I didn't have comps when I was in my masters program.

Hi, how are you? My comps exams was around 100 questions. It gave some situational questions, it asked some questions regarding law, ethics, assessments, etc. What I did was study the cards that were on quizlet and I used this Praxis study guide that is online. It has information about the praxis exam and it has practice questions that I quizzed myself with. I also got on to IDEA's website and reviewed material on there as well. There are also some Praxis books that some students bought as well and I think those books had practice tests. Please let me know what other questions you may have.

Does the test have essay questions or is it just multiple choice ?
@Joelschoolpsy

Hi Esmeralda. Our test had only multiple choice questions. However, each program may have different requirements. We had around 100 questions. I used whatever materials I could find online but I also know that there are books that some other students used. 😎
