Be careful with the last fan i almost lost my pinkie finger's nail because of the insanely fast spinning blades

Very TRUE! Even after disconnecting the power I’ve been very close to cutting my finger while it was spinning down

@@KeonsLab I don't have any fingerprint on that part of my pinky as the fan took out a bit of flesh

OMG WHAT!!? That must’ve hurt so bad! Did it make a deep cut? If so I really hope you didn’t get any bad scarring from it :(

These fans are used for network equipment like switches. They'd typically be a 12V variant, but 5V projects like a Pi Cluster rack could utilize these (or industrial PLC's)

Ohh little dense servers and Pi clusters and stuff yeah I didn’t even think of that!

This is propably also for servers of 1U size I have a 3kW power supply with have one small loud fan

Yeah I hadn’t though of that but a couple other comments mentioned it too and it totally makes sense when I think about it

You will find these fans inside a projector.

Oh I never even thought of that! A projector could definitely make use of one of these!

From hot swappable server power supplies. The thin blade type Also common to find them in server blades in a line with several others directed towards the motherboard. Each style and company utilize them in different ways. With different types of ducting to direct where needed.

Oh interesting! So the ‘slimness’ of the supply would basically direct the air over the heatsinks and components?

I’m not sure how tall it is but maybe it could be used inside a 1U tall server?

I bought 2x of the large server fans and the LIDAR sensor to use to make the hand drier when it comes out. I did some testing and it can blow air pretty fast but I am a bit skeptical if it can dry my hands as it is. I might need to stack two of them or maybe create a smaller output to direct the airflow over a smaller area.
@KeonsLab

They’re actually surprisingly effective at drying hands, I think what you mentioned about the smaller output would be even more effective. I have seen some fans that are 3 times as long, as if 3 fans were connected except it’s a single unit
