There have been a couple close calls. One guy who was a lieutenant bragged about having a gun, so the decoy made him prove he didn't have one before going in the house. There was another old officer that was showing up right before the crew stopped for the night, but police intercepted his car before he left the county. They found like 10 guns, a shit ton of ammo, two bullet proof vests, tons of film and cameras, duct tape, and more creepy shit. It's a miracle nothing happened during any of the runs.

It all deals with showing intent. Talking to an underage child online is one thing, but driving to their house is a whole different story. If you watched the very early episodes of tcap that involved police, alot of guys got off because they just showed up to the house without anything on them to prove intent. So, the decoys started asking them to bring specific items like a cake, a gift, ect. Then when they tried to say that they just came by the house, the police would bring up that they brought the exact items that the decoy asked for.

Like how common was it in the 2000s that a girl, or boy would go on AOL and hook up with an old guy? I feel like they knew where to put these decoys because people back then, noticed that these AOL rooms were sus, and maybe parents found out about these rooms. I remember this was just a huge time when teenagers would randomly talk to people online. I used to do it all the time and now I realized that most of the people I was talking to, were probably old men lmfao

The problem I have with these new predator catcher vigilantes is that they also demonize families of the predators. Like there was this predator catcher that starts harassing the predators mother when she got offended that they were putting a camera in her face and calling her an enabler to the guys pedophilia when that absolutely wasn’t the case. There was also another predator hunter called cc unit and they went to this families house that was at risk of being kicked out because their kids caused too much trouble and the mother was begging the predator catchers to go somewhere else so they can talk privately but it was like the predator hunters didn’t even care that the mother was about to be homeless. They were there for the predator not the mother.

It's striking how many people complaining on Twitter about "this *fictional character* looks like a child, anyone who likes *this anime/comic book/TV show* is a pedophile" turn out to be a molester six months later.

so the whole thing with the show was them just sitting in chat rooms and guys would just talk to them. they would initiate everything and the decoy would just be chilling. they wouldn't "cyber" because it's just the predator doing everything. if anyone still reads comments, listen to Predators I've Caught. chris talks about different episodes and how the show operated. very good stuff. i understand these are old episodes, so they're ignorant to the actual details, but still

I like that the pitch of "I KNEW THIS WAS THE SHOW" is like, used multiple times in the show.
