Yes, we offer a JAN 3 brass as well for left-handed basses, of course. you'll find them on shop.warwick.de under "parts for instruments". Thanks for watching!

We have one with 52mm or 2.047 inches. i don't know if that's too big already. It's the JAN III for 6-string models and it also comes for fretless models. Hope this helps.

What glue did you use? Do they make this sort of nut for guitar? The adjust-ability would be very useful.
@FramusWarwickOfficial

Yes, wood glue would work as well, yet we still recommend a more thin fluid glue that doesn't produce such a thick layer in-between the neck and the just-a-nut. And no, exchanging a just-a-nut I for a just-a-nut II is not a different procedure. Thanks for your support!

Basically yes, you can install an JAN on a non-Warwick bass - given that the neck width and the way the nut is placed are similar. You have to check those two factors first. With some brands this won't work, but there are others where it will. And we offer special JAN versions for fretless basses - you can find them at the website shop.warwick.de

What kind of glue do you use? I know the main thing holding the JAN on is the strings. But I don't want to over/under do it. How is the tone of the Tedur as apose to the bright brass?

Is this the same procedure for a "cheap" 2006 Rock bass by Warwick Corvette standard 5-string? I don't see a "seam" where the bottom piece would pull up to separate from the wood and just a bit concerning. I have the part but want to make sure I won't screw this up since it's the more affordable older line. Oh and the type of glue? Super? Epoxy?

Can I use the 38,5mm Just-A-Nut 3 on a soundgear neck (36mm nut)? Could I file it down 1,25mm on each side, or would that completely mess up the string spacing?
@FramusWarwickOfficial

it still remains the same procedure - removing the one, removing remainders of glue, applying glue and putting the other one on. If I may ask - why would you want to change between those two?

I have a '98 Streamer LX 5 String with the stock nut (JAN II, I believe), so according to you, this would be made out of tedur. I happens that the upper part of the nut, where the strings rest, has collapsed over the years, changing the shape to an opposite to the fingerboard radius shape. Since the brass nut is out of my price range right now, can you guarantee that the same thing won't happen with the tedur JAN III?

My Corvette Rockbass was bought in 2008... De nut is a bit different... And my model is 4,5 cm, instead of the 4,3 that most vendors offer today. What can I do? Is the neck really changed on this model?

I had a "professional" replace my JAN2 to a JAN3 and they didn't glue it back on or remove old glue. It stayed in place by the force of the strings. I will now do it myself correctly. What brand glue do you recommend? Is it possible to use a glue that is "too permanent"?
@amaroudis
10 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks for the super quick response!! By too permament, I guess I meant a glue like krazy glue or super glue. Something that would be really strong, to where if you wanted to take the nut off in the future, that it would cause issues trying to get off. Sounds like I just need to find the thinnest glue with light hold? Because there is no reason to use a super strong glue as the strings will be pushing down on it.
@amaroudis
10 жыл бұрын
My main concern was if I use too strong a glue, that if I change the nut in the future, I could damage the wood underneath and around the nut.
