Not everyone who uses English spells everything exactly the same way. There are more than one correct spelling for many words, depending on where you live. Color/colour, tire/tyre, spelled/spelt, aluminium/aluminum, flavor/flavour....... Before you profess to be the one who knows everything about the English language, you really should learn that it is used somewhat differently from country to country. There are basically two standards: Imperial and American. There are some variations within those standards as well. Your sentence used no capitalization, a comma splice, and no end punctuation, on top of being factually wrong. No black guy is named Tyre; it's Tyree, and tyre is a perfectly acceptable spelling for that round rubber thing on your car.

FYI: A self-tapping screw is a screw that can tap its own hole as it is driven into the material. For hard such as metal or hard plastics, the self-tapping ability is often created by cutting a gap in the continuity of the thread on the screw, generating a and cutting edge similar to those on a tap.

douglas carpenter you think this dude knows what self tapping screw is? I live in US so I know. These screws are obviously Western design, nothing like that was available in Soviet Union, so this all came from tge west. When Russians saw them, it was for them samorez, aka self tapping. They obviously never seen real self tapping ones, or only start learning whst it is, and for starters any screw from the west is self tapping lol. Give them time, they will get to learn what real western type self tapping screw is, or this dude is no carpenter and for him ANY wooden screw is just nicknamed samorez, aka self tapping. He probably is no woodman whatsoever

Travis Piper why would you do it on new tyres?

Leo Gilbert I meant they are very dry rotted. Used tires that aren't dry rotted would be better, less of a chance of having them shred on you.

Yes but tires that dry rotted could have easily shredded and ruin the fenders of that car, especially with screws in it lol!

I didn't say new tires? I mean using used tires that are worn out beyond use, that aren't dry rotted so bad.

My brother and I did this with a Mazda 323 almost 20 years ago, but we used grade-8 nuts and bolts. The roads were buried under several inches of ice for two weeks, and his car easily got around faster than anything else attempting travel.
