🥙 Lavash (sticky): 4 pieces
🍗 Chicken meat:
500 g chicken breast
🥄 2 tablespoons of olive oil
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika
🌿 1 teaspoon oregano
🧄 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
🥔 Potatoes: 4 medium potatoes (or, if you prefer, buy raw potatoes, ready to fry)
🍳 Oil for frying (enough to cover the potatoes)

🥗 Vegetables:
1/2 fresh white cabbage, finely chopped
🥒 3-4 pickled cucumbers, cut into thin slices
🍅 2 tomatoes, cut into thin slices
🥣 White sauce (ranch or yogurt sauce):
200 g Greek yogurt
🧄 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
🍋 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
🌿 1 tablespoon chopped dill
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
🍅 Red sauce (hot sauce or ketchup):
200 ml ketchup or red sauce
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
🍬 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
🍏 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
🔪 Instructions:
🍗 Preparing the chicken:
Cut 500 g of chicken breast into thin strips.
🥄 In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of oregano, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
Add the chicken strips and toss well to coat them evenly with the marinade.
Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Fry the chicken in a hot pan until browned and cooked through.
🥔 Preparation of straw potatoes:
Peel 4 medium potatoes and cut them into thin strips (or use store-bought raw potatoes).
🍳 Fry the potatoes in hot oil until they become golden and crispy.
Drain the potatoes on absorbent paper to remove excess oil and sprinkle with salt.
🥗 Assembly:
Heat 4 sticks on a pan or in the oven for a few seconds until they become pliable.
Place a portion of chicken in the middle of each stick.
🥗 Add some tomato slices, chopped white cabbage, pickled cucumber slices and a handful of mashed potatoes.
🥣 Add white sauce and red sauce to taste.
Pack the glue, rolling it tightly and fold the ends to enclose the filling.
🔥 Put it on a hot grill or pan for a few minutes, until it browns slightly and becomes crispy.
🍽️ Serving:
Serve the Chicken Shaorma warm, with additional sauces if desired.
