What a lovely lady, She ought to be back on TV. She was always my favourite when I grew up watching Crossroads. Anyone remember when she married Vince Parker and took to the bottle?

The killing off Diane Hunter was the nail on the coffin for the orginal Crossroads. I think she'd be good on Loose Women too.

What role would you give her? Audrey's sister maybe?

She did a short stint in Corrie in August 2012, playing the part of Penny Thornley, who had been a victim of conman Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers). She shared many seems with Audrey.

Sue is so right - part of the reason i dont watch Coronation Street or Eastenders now is because i dont particularly like anyone in either of them

A wooden soap with largely wooden actors who looked as so they were in a stage or radio play, and that was when Hanson was in it.

I have all the episodes from its only decent era which was the early 80s and Sue Hanson was amazing; if there had been awards shows then she would have won several times. Today's soaps have lost not only audience but understanding of what makes huge audiences keep tuning in.

Some early 1964 episodes were wiped and gone forever.
