Ingredients:
Karela -2
For soaking:
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Wash Karela and make thin slices.
Add salt, turmeric powder and water. Let it soak for 30 minutes.
This will reduce bitterness of the karela.
1. Onion - 1 big
2. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
4. Salt - 1/2 tsp
Method:
1. After soaking for 30 minutes, wash karela thoroughly 3 times.
2. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.
3. Add karela and give a good stir.
4. Keep stirring occasionally to avoid burning till the karela turn light brown and crisp.
5. Keep aside in a bowl.
6. To the same pan add 2 tbsp oil and fry the sliced onions.
7. Fry till golden brown on medium flame.
8. Now add fried karela.
9. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, & salt.
10. Mix well and fry for 3 minutes.
11. Ready to serve.
