📝 Ingredients:
🧅 A medium-sized onion (200 grams), chopped
🛢️ Vegetable oil
🧄 A spoonful of garlic, minced
🌿 A spoonful of cumin
🌿 A spoonful of coriander
🌶️ A spoonful of paprika
🌶️ A spoonful of chili powder
🌕 A teaspoon of turmeric
💧 A quarter of a cup of water
🍅 Three pureed tomatoes (350 grams)
🧂 Salt, to taste
🌶️ Black pepper, to taste
🥫 Two cups of boiled or canned chickpeas
🍶 A quarter of a cup of yogurt (60 grams)
💧 One cup of water (used to boil chickpeas or plain water)
🌿 A quarter of a cup of fresh parsley, chopped
🧈 Two tablespoons of butter (30 grams)
🌶️ Half a teaspoon of paprika or chili powder
🍳 Instructions:
🍳 Step 1: Cook the onion
In a pot, heat a little vegetable oil and saute a medium-sized onion (200 grams), chopped, until translucent.
🧄 Step 2: Add the garlic and ginger
Add a tablespoon of minced garlic
🌿 Step 3: Add the spices
Mix a spoonful of cumin, a spoonful of coriander, a spoonful of paprika, a spoonful of chili powder and a spoonful of turmeric. Let them warm up to release the flavors.
💧 Step 4: Add the liquid
Add a quarter of a cup of water, three pureed tomatoes (350 grams), salt and black pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
🍲 Step 5: Prepare the chickpea mixture
In a blender, mix two cups of cooked or canned chickpeas, a quarter of a cup of yogurt (60 grams) and a cup of water (used to boil chickpeas or plain water) until smooth.
🍛 Step 6: Add the chickpea mixture to the sauce
Pour the mixture from the blender into the sauce in the pot. Also add cooked or canned whole chickpeas. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
🌿 Step 7: Add fresh parsley
Stir a quarter of a cup of chopped fresh parsley into the chickpeas.
🧈 Step 8: Melt the butter with the paprika
In a separate pan, melt two tablespoons of butter (30 grams) over medium heat. Add half a teaspoon of paprika or chili powder. Mix well.
🔥 Step 9: Finish the curry
Pour the butter and paprika mixture over the chickpeas. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
