This guided 5-Minute Meditation includes the mantra “so hum” which helps to stop overthinking and create a sense of peace and calm in your mind and body.
Mantras can be used to distract the mind in a healthy way because we cannot think nothing. We are always thinking. However, by repeating a mantra and attuning it to your breath, it is possible to slow down an overactive mind and thus, find peace and stillness within.
This is particularly helpful in an ever-changing, over stimulating world.

🧠 Yoga Nidra is so effective when it comes to managing stress and “bad” emotions because it activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). This is where we recharge, heal and can just BE.
🤯 Most people are stuck in the sympathetic state (fight or flight):
constantly switched on and doing doing doing…their life feels like a never-ending to-do list.
😅 It is a natural impulse to get out of this state if it lasts too long because it demands a lot of energy and thus, is very draining. But no one taught us the skill of true self-regulation.
