Many just keep to themselves, you know, they’re busy on school studying and a part time job (which is awesome considering they’re not even adults yet, keeps them occupied and saving money). However, when some of these people grow up without a "leader" in the family (a dad), picking bad influences as friends and breaking the law for fun… they become accustomed to getting what they want when they want it. Everything boils over when they are met with someone who is not equal to them, like a friend or a family member - instead, they have to become compliant and cooperative - something they never had or wanted to do before.. That being said, everyone’s actions are their own responsibility. I Hope that as more of these bodycam videos come out, the young men and women will stay out of trouble.

I would agree with the serious jail time and I think they should be left behind bars long enough for them to see what life is like with no access to hair stylists or makeup artists and having to wear jailhouse orange or stripes instead of their designer duds and I think THAT would hurt them more than a fine that daddy would probably pay anyway.

I swear people that try to use their knowledge or relationship to someone that holds a position of power to avoid accountability for their actions disgust me and if i were the person whose name and position they tried to use to threaten the officers jobs and to get out of the trouble they were in, i would do everything in my power to make sure they were punished to the fullest extent and that none of the charges are dropped. I feel that even trying to use someone else's name or position to threaten should be a crime in itself. That way the person that did that would never try that shit again, not only is it wrong it shows a complete a total lack of respect for the person whose name they are using, not to mention depending on the person's crime could have potential blowback on the who they were trying to use.

My father was a police officer...when I started driving, he told me that it is very important to be polite and comply with any command the cop gives me. I found that 95% of the time, that strategy resulted in no ticket, just a warning. When I did get a ticket, it was almost always reduced [speeding]. I am now in my 60's and have not been pulled over in years...always driving the speed limit as I do now seems to be the key to that. Interestingly enough, he also told me that women were far worse to deal with than men...especially if they were drunk.
