Chicken samosas are a delicious and popular snack or appetizer in many parts of the world, particularly in South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. Here's a basic recipe to make chicken samosas:
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo mined chicken
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
1 cup green peas
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1teaspoon thyme optional
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/3 cup Dil leaves chopped optional
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)
10-12 samosa wrappers (store-bought or homemade)
For sealing:
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour mix with 1half cuf cup of water take one boil so that it become starch or
Water
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
Add minced chicken, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
If using peas, add them at this stage. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.
Finally, add chopped dil and thyme and mix. Remove from heat and let the filling cool down.
Prepare the Sealing Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix all-purpose flour with water to form a paste. This will be used to seal the samosas.
Assemble the Samosas:
Take a samosa wrapper and fold it into a triangle shape, sealing the edges with the prepared flour paste.
Apply some flour paste along the edges and seal the top, making sure there are no gaps.
Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Frying the Samosas:
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully slide in the prepared samosas, a few at a time, without overcrowding.
Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once done, remove them using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
Serving:
Serve the chicken samosas hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as mint chutney, tamarind sauce, or yogurt dip.
